They're real. They're some sort of greaser gang revolving around Power Armors / Power Armor customization. One of their paint jobs is visible in the e3 footage (it increases agility and adds speed flamez to your power armor).

Never thought I'd use this emoticon, but this kind of bethesdation is too much even for me...

:0-13:

Yeah, it's the kind of thing where if this was my first Fallout game I could see myself enjoying it as a brainless action game, but as someone who played the old games when they were new... it's not even about mechanics at this point, just the fact they seem to have built their entire setting to trigger the fuck out of oldfags. Because OF COURSE there's power armor gangs. What's next, every bandit you meet once you hit level 30 is flying a vertibird and wearing power armor?

That's even worse than I thought.

I had a Fallout avatar in a few forums and profiles, but I removed all of them the other day. Unfortunately, soon enough being a Fallout fan will be as shameful and despicable as being a furry.

The post-apocalyptic world is all about looking cool in the face of adversity. When mutants or radiation get you down, it's time to change your look.

I have an idea for a mod. It would remove all voice acting and change text to derp and herp. But im too lazy to do it myself.

Well, if power armor is so common in the area that greasers pimp them like motorcycles, it would make perfect sense for the bandits to have some in their possession.
