IGN Review = bullcrap

IGN gave Fallout 4 a 9.5. It's a great score, but the 0.5 that cost Fallout 4 a 10/10 was bugs. I find this complete bullcrap. Bugs should have no impact on a score unless it is game-breakingly broken. Bugs can be fixed through patches, but if someone reads this review years from now to decide to buy this game and sees "-Bugs" on the IGN review, they may assume that the game is poorly made and broken.

I get the feeling that most DRM these days is just there as a token effort so a pirates lawyers can't claim they made no attempt to protect it.
Outside draconic always-online DRM (and all the associated headaches that entails for the likes of Ubisoft) it's not cost-effective to spend a lot of money on a DRM scheme just to extend the time before your game is cracked by a couple of weeks.

eeeh, Denuvo was pretty a effective DRM. It does get cracked, but only one (two if count 3DM with it's not so effective crack), but it required like one year. It actually managed to convince my usual not paying friends into buying.

Bugs could of been fixed before release, Zenimax clearly had the money to cover british tube stations in fallout 4 adverts, hire agencies to attract a bunch of hollywood socialites at a huge gross hypercommercialised party.

What I'm interested in is the actual numbers of people who dislike the game, are critical of it, compared to the number of mewling idiots. There still isn't a (serious) bad review of Fallout 3 floating around youtube. I want to see how many dislikes a serious "critique" of that turd would get... Fuck it. FUCK IT.

Any company with a minimum of business savvy (and for all the things you may berate Bethesda for, lack of good business sense isn't it) would make sure to give early copies ot people they are certain will review it favourably.

Any serious, negative reviews will take at least a couple of days before they show. Reviewers who Beth didn't feel confident would shower them with praise had to buy it today, spend a few days playing, then a few days writing.

What I love most about the companionship of Fallout 4 is the fact that, yes, you can pursue multiple romantic partnerships and the game totally allows it.

Oh no, please no spoiling of the story:
I can’t go into plot details, but it gets very dark very quickly

I'm positive I read somewhere that FO4 will not have locational damage. It was in this thread, but no time to search now
While full sets of armor can be worn, it’s more efficient to use armor pieces instead. Your legs, arms, torso and head can all be outfitted with their own pieces of armor, each one contributing its own defensive value and – in the case of legendary items – special bonuses.

Morans at polygon feel empowered as they solve problems:
I went into problem-solving mode like I hadn't ever felt empowered to in a Bethesda open-world game before.

This is actually a good sign:
Закрыть тему противостояния организаций вы вольны когда угодно: можете, скажем, прикончить главу фракции хоть посреди сюжетной речи, и игра предложит новый путь к концовке — как в New Vegas. Очень приятно обнаружить, что Bethesda не игнорирует то, что сделала до нее Obsidian.
"You can kill the leader of a faction in the middle of a quest you were doing for that faction, and the game will offer you a different way to proceed with the story - like in New Vegas. It's very nice to see that Bethesda are not ignoring what Obsidian has achieved before them."

Also, according to the same review, apparently fucking your companions gives you XP. Neat.

Of all possible ways to suck the offered dick, they had to choose this one:
The main quest is terrific.

Also, building beds, crafting items for quests... I used to be Inquisitor like you.

There is a young cocksucker that shows great promise:
Fallout 4 had the most brilliant, elegant hype cocksucking cycle in modern video game cock-sucking history and it’s all thanks to us. We were Bethesda’s marketing tools, and it we worked flawlessly.
[more praise of cock-sucking abilities skipped]
At the end of the day, none of that even matters, as Fallout 4 is a masterpiece.
And just one more example, because it's so good:
Fallout 4 is 2015’s most immersive game because it provides an enrapturing alternate realm that is designed to consume your consciousness.
The whole article is very... hmm... "hardcore".

What I mean was a review of the kind MrBtongue makes. Aka not sponsored reviews by jurnos but a critically minded player.

Why is it that European articles are just plain better than ours a lot of the time, dammit? They talk about the engine repetition and asset reuse, for crying out loud. Meanwhile over here we'll get an article from HardOCP that is massaged a bit with the usual lines about how it's a different, upgraded engine.

Hell even when it comes to hardware stuff I usually find my answers in German somewhere. When I was comparing two 960 4GB in SLI vs a single 970 (and even a 980) it was a handful of German videos on Youtube that actually had benchies.

It's so telling that New Vegas is barely mentioned in any of the reviews, and that stuff like faction gameplay, c&c and good writing which was introduced to the 3d Fallouts by NV, is completely overlooked.

What a bunch of cunts.

Going through these reviews, New Vegas doesn't seem to get brought up as a point of comparison much. There's nonstop favourable comparisons to Fo3 but NV is weirdly absent in most of these. Wonder why.

Nah people do mention it. In fact they mostly say that this is between F3 and FNV sort of mix of two.

eeeh, Denuvo was pretty a effective DRM. It does get cracked, but only one (two if count 3DM with it's not so effective crack), but it required like one year. It actually managed to convince my usual not paying friends into buying.

Effective it was when it was introduced. MGSV got cracked after just 4 days...

A lot of them savaged it for bugs and left with lines like 'there might be an enjoyable experience somewhere, but I can't tell because I'm stuck in a wall'.

For them to come back years later and admit that NV was the better game would make many reviewers break out into hives.
