Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Yeah, actually, I didn't knew that Obsidian gained so much credit with New Vegas among the Fallout (Bethesda) fans.
I mean, the average opinion I read about New Vegas is that it was worse than Fallout 3.

That "average" opinion is the one on the left that gives FO4 8.9 ratings. The actual average opinion is the one on the right

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Mods already fixed it.

It's not a coincidence that Brian Fargo tweeted about this game. We've got Wasteland 2 killer.

I wonder how hard it will be for modders to change that dialogue system to actual phrases - maybe there's way too much work involved.

Is it really that bad? All I want is Oblivion with guns :( . I just want a large number of towns with tons of quests, decent graphics and places to explore, epic loot to collect and maybe a castle to put it into. All of this running in a reasonably stable manner.
A good story is optional. I don't remember the story in either FO2 or Morrowind. If I want story I'll go read a book.
And good combat is just not something we can expect from Bethesda.

Those are some baaaad user reviews tho.

Are these people just retarded or are they just uneducated and aren't aware of it? Kinda like a guy who ate shitty home cooking for his entire life and his heart skips a beat when he tastes some shitty burger at McDonalds and declares it the best thing ever without ever going to a decent restaurant. Fuck the story, fuck the rpg element, fuck character development. All of Beth's games have some of the words combat I've encountered in any game. The shooting mechanics are worse than the average modern FPS by a large margin.

Forgiving it is not unreasonable if it's not in your face all the time, but out of those shitty 50 hours at least 25 is wasted on standing in front of someone's face unloading your gun in his head while he's doing the same to you. How in the fuck does 25 hours of the worst shit you can play only shaves off 1.1 points out of the score. Probably even less than that since that 1.1 is for every "flaw" in the game.

Has any other Beth game even flopped this bad with users? A 5.3 user metascore... For a large series with major hype... and plenty of console simplification...

Reddit/Metacritic: Boring quests! Shallow NPCs! Story sucks!

Todd Howard: What's this I hear? Translate for me my pets.

Video Game "Critics": Lord Todd, what they're saying is, GAME OF THE YEAR 2015.

Todd Howard: That's what I thought. For a second there, I thought they were saying they wanted STORIEES in RPGs.

Yeah r/games has some sensible people.

Ironically r/fallout is a shithole on the level of r/gaming.

There's a few towns but they dont feel like towns - they're a collection of buildings mainly with NPCs called Resident or such wandering around. Even Fallout 3 has more clearly-defined towns.

There don't seem to be many quests, and the ones I could find are literally all just killing people/synths/ghouls.

Graphics are decent. They're bad but in motion they can look alright.

Places to explore, not really. Most of the dungeons are just vertical skyscrapers, you wander up the fire escape shoot everyone inside the rooms and get to the top to find nothing much of interest. Honestly less interesting than Oblivion's dungeons, and I hated Oblivion's dungeons.

Epic loot is variable. There's lots of guns and stuff I suppose.

I lowered my expectations to "Skyrim with guns" and it still sucks, so if you want Oblivion with guns you probably won't really find much good in it either.

I played a bit from the beginning and I am amazed that this game actually felt worse than Fallout 3.

Fallout 4 apparently has 111,000 lines of dialogue, 85,000 of which are npc's and 26,0000 are the player characters, 13k for each gender. F:NV had 65,000 lines of npc dialogue. How does fallout 4's shitty dialogue system actually have more lines for the npc's than New Vegas's good dialogue system?
That's because each

line now

contains

fewer words.

"You see Ivan, when you hold reefle like me the enemy will of think you are just jacking off until is of too late."

The Silent hill tetralogy is a very good example of not only a great art design, is a great example of a SMART use of the current technology and the art direction to suply where the technology fails. The fog for example, whose became a classical element of the franchise, is a manner of hide the low loading vision of the game, which at the same time allows a high load in a short range.

Funny thing, the guys in charge of the HD collection for the ps3 weren't aware if that and removed the fog in many places, letting us see the limits of the rendered scenery.
