Well modders have been putting it into their games for free for 15 years it's nice for them to finally catch up with what some dudes could do in their free time in 2005.

STALKER Clear Sky had all of that a decade ago, in addition to things like wet surfaces.

wrong, Stalker does not have physical volumetric clouds, only a skybox, and the rain is not a visible entity from distance like in this gif from f76
