If Bethesda is clever, they will offer (partial) nuke codes in the cash shop, GTA:Online style. Spending money comes easy when you get the option to show some 24/7 player who's boss. That's how F2P games work after all: grind the shit ingame or spend money to skip it.

Technically it's even a "cosmetic option", like, "cosmetic post nukular mushroom decoration" as a gift. Yeah. So nobody could blame the Toddler for lying. :balanced:

I thought of the same thing earlier. Cause everything in Gamebryo is tied to your FPS, your advantages are going to be more than just running faster, chances are you will also reload and shoot faster.

https://www.somethingawful.com/video-game-article/bethesda-fallout-letter/

Last week Bethesda published a surprisingly honest letter to its fans. I was so moved by this heartfelt attempt to manage players' expectations of Fallout 76 that this I'm reprinting the letter in its entirety.

The basic premise of the game is that the players are supplied with a huge amount of nothing, which they are supposed to pretend is actually something, thus creating the ultimate Role Playing experience.

SomethingAwful... moar like SomethingMeh.

FO76 BETA said:
Cannot mute microphones/no push2talk/mic active during character creation

This game is simply a gift that keeps on giving. You cannot mute other players and the mic is always on. :hahano:

- You like listening to heavy breathing? Bethesda heard your wishes!
- You like listening to other people's phonecalls? Todd got you covered!
- You like babbies screaming, wife nagging, crappy music and a television in the background louder than the game's intro? Look no further, buy FO76 now!

This game is already triple A entertainment, sheet, it's even quadruple A! Most fun you can have with this game, by NOT even playing it.

Stay tuned for the "TOP 10 MOST EMBARASSING BANTER IN FO76 YOU TANKFULLY MISSED! BEST EVER!" youtube videos, coming next friday.

Bonus: ESC does NOT open the menu, you have to open the map and press Z. Mousewheel opens the radial menu for consoletards.

I have read that Zenimax owns both Bethesda and Id Software, why Bethesda can't use the doom engine? I remember it is pretty good

They own: Arkane Studios, Bethesda Softworks, id Software, MachineGames, Tango Gameworks, and ZeniMax Online Studios by the way.

I don't know how sharing like that works between companies under the same parent company. Maybe someone here does but I'm sure it's not as simple as you'd think it could be. I know id helped Bethesda Softworks or BGS (whoever) with some of the shooting for Fallout 4 but even then you could ask why not use something not Gamebryo/Creation. Maybe it's due to the staff working on the game being comfortable with it or something with how Creation engine allows the ability to mod easier or excessive junk to be interacted with in the game?

I will say, they need to move on past Creation/Gamebryo now.
