I'd wager it's gonna be a web series starring Felicia Day or some other overrated "web persona".

Maybe they just did this as a recommendation from their army of corporate lawyers. After all, they need to actively create reasons for their job to have point.

This could turn out good (just fund the Nuka Break guys for an on-going series), OK (give the writing to someone competent, but unexceptional) or terrible (Bethesda does the writing)

Ron Perlman participation is a given.

Slam dunk.

How else can B-Soft PR sell this venture?

How can the Codex have a dog in this fight?

This fall on FOX:

Fallout a post-nuclear growing pains story: Based on Bethesda's original Fallout. A young boy (played by Justin Bieber) goes on an epic quest to save the world and find his lost father (Liam Neeson).

*bang*

I felt a great disturbance in the Codex... as if dozens of Codexers suddenly cried out in rage, and carried on doing so. I fear something terrible has happened.

Idiocracy
Strangely enough, this doesn't bother me at all. As far as I'm concerned, nothing exists after Fallout 1.

Maybe if they make a show on the level of Walking Dead, I'll take an interest. Wake me up if that happens.

Really bad idea. Plots and settings that work in a computer game are often utterly ridiculous if transferred to other media. Even the comparatively straight Fallout 1 is constructed of ideas that would look absurd if put on tv. They'd either have to ditch a lot of the things that make it Fallout, or be content with a really bad b-grade flop.

But the game is a translation of road warrior to game form so it would just be road warrior. It's not like fallout was a final fantasy game with a totally ridiculous plot.
