I am not going to watch it, even the 25 minute gameplay debut was a bit too much, but it is cool to see Warhorse get this marketing opporunity. IGN may be somewhat of a laughing stock but they are still the biggest most mainstream US gaming site, afaik

Getting this kind of coverage might just force some of the more idiotic parts of the westoid journo sphere to shut the fuck up

What is amusing, the person who reviewed original KCD (and gave it 8 with a very positive review overall, devoid of any leftoid nonsense) is the same trans person that reviewed Veilguard (and gave it a 9). And this person will also review KCD2 apparently. Here is hoping KCD2 will score at least as much as the esteemed Bioware game :smug:

Greatest retard of the year thread is live, and this conversation happens.
Clearly I'm right, which is why the fanboys are reacting. They can't handle someone calling their favorite game out as being shit. KCD is just the Codex's latest sweetheart. They are not prestigious, they're just being faggots like always.

It's just that nobody cares. You can hate all you want. Nobody's opinion is getting changed. So it is a boring waste of time.

in one of the quests you are literally knee deep in shit looking for a dead body. Who in their right mind wants to do that kind of thing in their escapism?
Someone who doesn't do that IRL?

No wonder you find it boring.
Imagine not having the manly flame in soul when you help an young freshly-orphaned lad rise in the world. And help him gain vengance for death of his parents while also having brotherhood tier friendship with local heir. And you make said heir better person in the process! Literally ball-less.
Nice bedtime story! Yawwwwn... it's putting me right to sleep. This would make a good lullaby for grownups who wear diapers.
My dear man - you are either trying too hard or this is simply matter of something you don't like with such fiction - however, you did not give me any sort of argument and response or even example of good game or narrative. I am far from fanboy of Kingdom Come, but it isn't far fetched to say that the game is unique in the whole history gaming: I do not know such game with dedication to recreate a mostly realistic medieval world. And in world of gaming looking like copy paste from 90s WITH SHITTY REMASTERS that makes it a king. Not to mention quality of game itself and dedication they repaired it with. That deserves respect by itself.

What little I allowed myself to see looks promising, though I'm not watching it in its entirety. I'd rather go in mostly blind like I did the original.

Shit.. I still need to play the first one. Guess my waiting for a next/current gen 4K/60fps patch on console was silly and futile, let alone a VR version.

I expect better story and better C&C. In KCD1, it was too linear and choices don't matter.

Grab the Codex by the pussy Strap Yourselves In Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
Seems kinda wooden. A lot wooden, actually. Are Codexers impressed by janky storyfag games as long as they're made in Eastern Europe?

I do wonder why Infinitron thought that mentioning IGN was crucial to the thread's title.

IIRC you were one of those who allahu akbared Outer Worlds when it came out. Talk about wooden and janky. Plus retarded, ugly and boring to boot.

Another trash can diver complaining about a Michelin-grade meal.

I'm literally one of TOW's and NuObsidian's biggest haters. If you're gonna spread lies about people you can piss off and die for all I care. Cunt.

The Outer Worlds is a great game in my opinion
Despite Obsidian games getting increasingly worse, I'm still an kind of an Obsidian fanboy at heart

Looks gud. Sucks that it has to come out the same month as Monster Hunter Wilds. KCD2 is doomed, baby. Vavra is a reckless fool fighting a battle he never had any hope of winning.

Puke-inducing motion captures like many recent 'games', plays out like a movie, and people forget that games are supposed to look good pre-release and in trailers so that they can better get downgraded to reduce cost, IGN and the like are just here to hype it up to boost sales, they don't give a shit if the game is actually good or not. They show you only what they want to show so that you buy/pre-order these sort of shit games. Just look at what happened with Cybercuck 2077, or crowbcat's video on it if you need a reminder.

Not even going to crack it.

Everyone dies in the end. Remember that.
Typical writing shortcut. When you don't know what the fuck are you going to do with the characters, just make them die. Like what happened with V in 2077 and whatever the name of the protagonist of Edgerunner was, idr.

RPGCodex became reddit over time I think.

It did.
Yeah, honestly AI can be used for a lot of things, it shortens the amount of time you have to spend on things and can make it much more organic, and actually give real player choice with the words you want to use specifically rather than anything pre-written into some usual archetype of 'good guy' or 'asshole' type of responses or something in-between, you can do actual intrigue, diplomacy, or just breaking all habits and being some sort of chaotic dude (which i've very rarely seen games that allowed you to break all rules with that).

I did hear about the CK3 mod although I admit i've never installed it despite playing CK3 myself. But the premise is pretty good at least on paper, it allows you to do actual roleplay instead of just pretending everything in your head. And just spamming 'sway' scheme isn't what I would call realism either, and then on the other hand you could use events, but then events just become annoying and predictable once you've seen them once or twice (which is ironically the reason I don't use VIET events anymore).

But like you said, AI will indeed be used by low-budget studios and it may gain a negative image, and people will always think "wait i recognize that voice with those glitchy moments, it's ai, game uninstalled i just know it's going to be garbage", which I can understand in a way, but if the AI is used properly/in a few years from now, it *could* be used to enhance immersion and honestly just about everything. But the main problem is how and by whom it's going to be used indeed.

There's also the skyrim companion mod. GPT in itself is pretty shitty for the intended purposes (and expensive) but I know you can use local models.

Though never used that mod, because LLMs are ressource intensive and unoptimized in the amount of time needed to generate a response as of right now, unless you have an entire pool of RTX gpus or A100s (AI accelerators/GPU that are not GPU but have ten times the amount of VRAM) just for that. It's either quality or speed, you can't have both. Well except if you can afford 40$ or more per month just for a few sessions.
Because of people like you. Go back.
