Insert clever insult here
I disagree on Time Units doing a better job at fine control, by the way: I can understand not enjoying the move and action system and wanting for another solution, but Time Units have always been kind of an obsc
Found that gem in the comments. Some retard who apparently lacked basic math skills, could never figure out how many TU's each action took in UFO, so thinks the new system is much better. How stupid can you get? Original tells you how many TU's each type of shooting takes and the mechanism is explained in the manual IIRC - a percentile of total TUs. How many TUs movement took is learned the first time you move a soldier around. And to avoid running accidentally into trouble, you had the "Save TUs for snap/aimed shot" button!

Someone who has an account over at GB, please go tell that idiot to die in a fire.

Remember, for these people D&D is mathematically devious.

It's not that people are stupid, it's that the paradigm is that anything that forces you to do basic math is too complicated.

Yeah WUE is usually cool and he's a friend, I dunno why he thinks Time Units are obscure though. I think maybe because the game lacks a proper dynamic preview of how many Time Units something takes, if you don't have it memorized it can feel inconsistent at first. If they just said how many TUs all actions took before completing them (including movement) it wouldn't be a big deal.

X-Com wasn't a hardcore strategy game. It's strategic part is extremely casualized and there's nothing hardcore about the tactical/skirmish part - it's very simple.

pretentious delusional rant

:0/5:

My piece of advice: don't write reviews or any kind of criticism. In fact, don't write anything... ever... Devote your time and effort to contemplating the meaning of life or something equally fruitful. Not only you will not waste your efforts, but you will save us some pretty damn tough sanity checks.

You have something to say, you don't have to hide behind an alt. Don't like me? Fine, I don't give a shit either way, but you don't have to use another username to tell us how you really feel.
