Turn off depth of view and HDR, see if that helps.
I don't think so - I'm at level 12 currently and recently got killed up a few times by a bunch of level 7 goblins, when I got careless - which I never should get, as I completely suck at reflexes-based games.dr. one said:i think level difference still plays some role in combat calculations, just not as significant as in ED.

That was me, in dragon form.Crispy said:Heh, Skyway likes.
Hang on a sec -- I think I just saw something fly by my window...
He also liked Dark Messiah of M&M.Crispy said:Heh, Skyway likes.

I think he's actually quite often spot on even with his negative attitudes, he just tends to get carried away to the point where his criticism starts to dwell on over-accentuated details, subjective preferences or simply infatuation with his own Grumpy Bear persona. (Plus, he sometimes bases his judgement on assumptions rather than actual experience.) He would make an outstanding critic if he cared to tone down the over-the-top negativity a bit.Multidirectional said:When Skyway likes a game (nowadays anyway) chances are it is really fucking good. There's nothing wrong with his positive attitudes, they are generally spot on. It's his persistent negativity about most other things that is the problem.

Aside from being one of the best single target damage-inflicting skills in the game (second only to Thousand Strikes with a critical strike specialising warrior)? My mage was unstoppable with the Magic Blast, Magic Missile and Way of The Battlemage combo. The game wasn't even fun to play like this, even on hard.Satori said:Also is there any point in Magic Blast?

That's pretty good analysis, actually.Marquess Cornwallis said:I think he's actually quite often spot on even with his negative attitudes, he just tends to get carried away to the point where his criticism starts to dwell on over-accentuated details, subjective preferences or simply infatuation with his own Grumpy Bear persona. Skyway said:"it's good for one playthrough but... I... just... can't... stop... playing!"
Just avoid being hit.Satori said:Ugh, Ba'al is kicking my arse, time to grind I suppose.
MetalCraze said:Well I wouldn't call Div2 that. I remember making quite a lengthy post about it somewhere but in short - "it's good for one playthrough but... I... just... can't... stop... playing!"
It also has that long forgotten gameplay element "don't know where that quest item is? Keep playing and eventually you'll find it on the way" which I quite like and miss.
Can't, he has a spell where if you're hit he does 300 damage and with the mobs whittling your life done it's hard to get it back up and if I do, his cooldown on it has finished. And that was on Casual when I faced him.Raghar said:Just avoid being hit.Satori said:Ugh, Ba'al is kicking my arse, time to grind I suppose.
