Thinking about getting Thief 3 for fan missions. But propalby skip and finish Thief2x first.

If you still have save then you could abuse inventory pause and drink potions like crazy. I also got similiar situation with "no hell to survive". Delivering harfa to some bard for 100k coins was really helpful.

That was like ten years ago. Those saves are long gone.

I did just buy the game again so I'll give it another go.

How long does this sale usually last? When should I buy stuff and stop waiting for a hourly/daily deal?

I'm surprised I didn't see this posted already. If I missed it, I'm sorry for posting this a second time. Ahem...

HOLY SHIT, IT'S XENONAUTS!

http://af.gog.com/news/release_xenonauts?as=1649904300

Xenonauts, the spiritual successor to the classic 1990s X-Com games bringing back and expanding all of their strategic depth and tactical greatness, is available on 20% off on GOG.com. That's $19.99 for the first week!

Xenonauts
is a spiritual successor to the classic X-Com strategy games from the 1990s. We aim to improve the graphics, add new content and streamline the interface whilst still retaining all of the key mechanics of the original games. Devoted fans should love this game, but we're also keen to introduce the joys of old-school grand strategy to a whole new generation of players who might not otherwise experience it! In this robust strategy game you control a multi-national military organisation defending a Cold War-era Earth from an alien invasion, using small squads of persistent soldiers to eliminate the extraterrestrials and recover their technology in turn-based ground combat. A detailed strategic layer allows you to co-ordinate the defence of the planet, using your interceptors to shoot down UFOs and researching captured artefacts to learn about your foes and unlock new combat equipment to use on your missions. The game comes with a full MP3 sountrack!

The alien overlords' plan was as simple, as it was brilliant: "wait for the 2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale to start on GOG.com, and conquer the Earth with minimum resistance while everyone is busy tracking the Flash Deals". Stay vigilant, defender of our home planet! Only you can foil the extraterrestrials' scheme and show them that the human race is not to be messed with, in Xenonauts, for $19.99 on GOG.com. The 20% off special release discount will last until Monday, June 23, at 1:00PM GMT.

What are the key selling points of the Eschalon trilogy, from those who like it? I'm tempted by that sale price but I'm very undecided about it.

There is a demo for it.

Download it and try playing for about an hour. It got a bit monotonous for me when I gave it a try (kill stuff and grind for levels/loot, repeat...), but I think it would be a decent trilogy to slog through. A good, but not great game.

Also, Codex reviews:

What DalekFlay said, plus coming up with ways to make the combat system work for you. (Warning: May or may not take hours. User mileage may wary.)

So I've gotten 22 games I'll never play for about $60. Not sure if good or bad.
