Sorry, can't say anything. I bought it from the discount just because Crooked Bee recommended it and it has a western theme. I haven't even downloaded it so far.

Oh well. I finally bought "King of Dragon Pass" for 50% off, which for whatever reason I always forgot to buy. That should even run on my old netbook.

It will as I have personally ran it on my Acer Aspire One D260 netbook. Make sure that you aren't running Chrome, any cell phone suite programs i.e. ones that help you sync your phone stuff to your PC, in the background as they prevent KODP from running.

Yup, it runs nicely. Addictive game. My cows depleted, and half of my warriors disappeared.

I own all the games, but only one on GOG... Maybe tomorrow comes a deal I'll take.

The Real Texas is pretty sweet. An Ultima-like with action-y combat set in a kind of purgatory Texas, basically. Good writing and atmosphere. Has even got the Name-Job-Bye thingy and a little bit of text parser input. For $3.74 it's a steal.

I wish they would have made it in a top down view engine. This Lego 3D is horrible. Still bought it because of the western theme.
Do you recommend it Morkar?? I'm tempted on getting it now that is on discount.

It play more like Zelda than an ulitma rpg, if that helps.

IW is awful. Thief 3 is mediocre.

So what's the difference between the GOTY edition of Deus Ex and the regular one?

IIRC, when Deus Ex first came out it had no multi-player option. Later on, there was a patch that added mutli-player. From what I remember the GOTY edition was the fully patched edition. I don't recall any additional content being added at the time.

The Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition release contains the latest game updates and a software development kit, a separate soundtrack CD, and a page from a fictional newspaper featured prominently in Deus Ex titled The Midnight Sun, which recounts recent events in the game's world.[45] However, later releases of said version do not include the soundtrack CD, and contain a PDF version of the newspaper on the game's disc

Guess I'll pass, then, unless there are mods requiring the GOTY version.
I have the regular boxed version and I'm not really interested in multi-player.

False: https://sites.google.com/site/darkreality/retailvs.goty

Also, the patch did not just add multiplayer, it was a general patch as well. Any serious mod requires it.

Believe me... I thought that when I bought it for $2.50. It isn't even worth that. I couldn't stand it after four hours or so. It's just so painfully shallow and the level design is atrociously limited due to Xbox constrictions. I guess at least you'll be able to say you've played it.

Grab the Codex by the pussy
If someone held me at gunpoint and gave me a choice between either playing all the way through Invisible War or paying them $100 not to play Invisible War, I'd gladly pay the $100.

I bought a shitload of games from GoG today, including a few I already have hard copies of (Icewind Dale, Independence War 2, a few others).

Yeah it's included. Enjoyable games, mix of fps and stealth. Worth the buy, for that discount.

Definitely, especially with the excellent developer commentary giving insights into the game making process and the niggles and tricks, what they love, what they hate and them insulting the demo testers for not understanding the tutorial was blatantly a dream instead of real. You can download a multiplayer map and it automatically unlocks the commentary. One of the best FPS stealth games oozing atmosphere with a great melee system.
