REMINDER: This the last day of the sale for Square Enix games. That includes all of your favorite Eidos games from the 2000's.

I'd definitely recommend Tomb Raider 1-4 from GOG.com. You have to buy 4 and 5 together, but it is worth it. 4 was a solid entry in the series, probably the most fiendishly difficult too.

If there is a Steam Xmas sale tomorrow, buy Legend, Anniversary and Underworld. Legend is by far the weakest of the three, but it sets up the story arc that is continued in Anniversary and Underworld.

Grab the Codex by the pussy Divinity: Original Sin Torment: Tides of Numenera Shadorwun: Hong Kong Pathfinder: Kingmaker Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture
I held back on the deals they had the last few days, but I don't think I'm going to be able to say no to the Santa in Space bundle. I already played Star Control 1+2 and MoO2. I have no desire to play MoO1 or Star Control 3. But Moon Base Commander, Fragile Alliance, Nexus, Haegomonia and Independance War 1 and 2 look well worth the $15.41 price tags on their own.

I must be mentally ill, but I am thinking about investing in the Indie Jumpin' Pack. Talk me out of wasting my money, bros.

Pretty much, though if you are a platform gamer you might as well pick up the bundle as Snapshot has a 5 star rating and Capsized is new and may be a hidden gem. I look at GOG.com's rating system this way: 5-star is excellent, 4.5 is good, 4-star is mediocre, and anything below 4 is crap to be avoided.

Well I couldn't help myself. Since I was purchasing the Santa In Space Bundle anyway, I picked up two titles I've been looking at for awhile: FTL and Sam & Max: Beyond Space and Time. GOG.com just got $27 of my money, or about $2 a game. Damn you GOG!

Capsized is freaking awesome! :D (yes, I work for GOG just to disclose blah blah). I love the amount of sheer detail that goes into the environments plus the background music just adds that extra touch to the game.

Fun fact:

Once you rescue a crew member, you an use them as a sort of replacement jet pack in case you are out of fuel. Simply tether them to yourself with the hook and make sure to time your jumps right and you can basically jump-climb with your your crew member :D.

for a 50% discount?
or is there a specific promo link for a greater discount?
paging JudasIscariot as well

I played Tomb Raider games back in the day but I don't see myself playing those ever again.
I don't remember them being that interesting (maybe because I played the ripped versions).

I'm undecided about the Kain series, Hitman series and Urban Chaos. I never played any of those.

Unless I'm confusing it with another game, from a review I saw on youtube some time ago, the Kain series is a good storyfag game. With well written dialog.

How about the Hitman series? How does it compares to Thief?

And Urban Chaos? I saw the reviews mentioning GTA... is the game like it? If so I'll skip it.
How would it compare to, for example, Outcast?

have to go eat dinner... will see the rest of the packs in detail after it

I'd vouch for Capsized as a shooter, but with one reservation; it just doesn't run all that well. It doesn't have the wow-visuals of Trine, but it tends to chug anyway.

FYI, if you make a $1.50 purchase in the groupees greenlight bundle you'll get LaMulana free when it's unlocked... but it'll unlock in like 10 minutes. No need to pay $7+ for it.

OK, Capsized reminds me of Abuse. Hopefully the amount of enemies will reach truly insane numbers beyond the tutorial level. La Mulana looks like a nice Caslevania-like romp. Overall the bundle was not a bad buy just for these to games, it seems.

Metro Stop ruining this for me

Urban Chaos: It is like GTA. Except you're something of a mercenary cop who gets paid for collecting bounties & stopping crimes. It also took a double-dose of the standard 3rd-person-action-game stupid pill that they all seem to take.

Hitman: nothing compares to Thief. Setting that aside, though, while Hitman is a stealth game, your only goal is to kill someone, so if you want to put on a waiter disguise and roam around normally, then kill your target while he's fucking a prostitute and without his guards, then you don't need to sneak a single step, and you can still ghost the mission. Of course, the series gets incrementally more consolized the further along it goes, but it's a slow fall from grace (that is, until the one that just came out).

Kain's story is well-told. At first. But it unravels fast as you go through the series. They were milking the series pretty hard, too, towards the end. Whole games that go nowhere, dumb twists, lots of game padding...well, the usual crap spiral.

Lies and slander, the LoK series is rock solid with the exception of BO2. Now if only someone would finish the story.

Fake edit: Someone competent, that is.
