This holiday sale has been awesome. Too bad they aren't offering Chaos on Deponia in the Daedalic bundle, as it's the best game they've made.
I have bought most of the games in the bundle for almost full price. I hope the German bastards appreciate that.

Other than Deponia, how are the games in the bundle ?

Grab the Codex by the pussy Divinity: Original Sin Torment: Tides of Numenera Shadorwun: Hong Kong Pathfinder: Kingmaker Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture
I purchased FTL along with some of the other sci-fi games that were on sale. I just thought I'd give it a quick go, and three hours later (and three failures) I'm still playing the friggin' thing. So far it's an awesome game. Well worth the $5 I put into it.

I have to point out that 3 is most and one of them is Deponia. With that in mind - Chains of Satinav is an enjoyable adventure, with some plot twist telegraphed pretty far in advance. Overall fun, but a bit on the easy side.
The Whispered World has absolutely insufferable MC voice acting, it took me about an act and a half to get used to the terrible lisp (English Only, of course, can't speak for the Reich version), but it has actually interesting puzzles and a nice uses of your familiar / sidekick. Ending is a bit on the meh side.
Personal opinion is that Chaos on Deponia is the best of these games and it's not included. Buy it anyway, it's worth it IMHO.

I've only played The Whispered World & A New Beginning, but they're both pretty great. A few puzzles are complete crap and the dialogue is occasionally beyond cringe-worthy. But both are the exception, not the rule. Overall they're two of the best adventure games I've played. Especially A New Beginning is just really damn good.

So, some time ago, I decided to shorten my GOG boycott from forever to one year since they stopped the undesirable activity and stuff.

The awesomeness of the GoG holiday sale compared to how totally uninteresting the Steam holiday sale has been so far shines a bright light on just how steeply gaming has declined in recent years. :(

Today's 50/75% sale is all of GOGs Ultima games.

Ask yourself, is it worth the discount if you have to buy U9 to get it?

Not hard to beat Steam this year. Amazon is burying them. Gamer's Gate, too, albeit unintentionally since they have incompetent staffers.

Not much city building to be had in LOMSE though. Are the Lords of the Realm games any good. Surprisingly enough this is one 90's strategy series that has eluded me.

Can you elaborate on Gamer's Gate part?
91% off on the Bethesda New Year Collection (includes 11 games, Skyrim, Dishonored, Doom3 BFG, Fallout:NV, Fallout 3, Oblivion, Morrowind, Brink, Rage, Rogue Warrior, Hunted: The Demon's Forge). Brought their servers to their knees. It was probably supposed to be 70% off ($95), but they applied that twice, so it was $28.

Plus other stuff.

I still get around to playing LotR2 every once in a while. It's definitely enjoyable, but the combat hasn't aged well at all and will get frustrating at times. Still, the strategic layer is good enough to make up for the flawed combat. I definitely suggest turning on the advanced options (Season weather affecting crops, land fertility), but that might actually make the game easier overall.

Oh look. GOG get to sell Baldur's Gate at a discount after all.

And I think this is the last unique daily sale.
