Thank you GOG for finally bringing this masterpiece to your wonderful site! You read my mind!

I don't know, its kind of an important part of gaming history. GOG putting it on their site is kind of like the gaming equivalent of the holocaust museum.

Imagine this ad coming out now. Tumblr would burn itself down with righteous indignation
The press still burned with righteous indignation when it came out. Never understood why TBH; it was a fun tongue in cheeck ad, and would've actually been funny if the game had been really good. As it is the game was just mediocre to bad, but people's reactions were so coloured by the ad and their indignation that everyone labelled it "worst game ever" (clearly they had never played the awful, awful FPS shovelware of the mid-90s like Fortress of Dr Radiaki and Tekwar). Or that horrible one commie linked once.

It's amusing how their ad page tries to paint it as a good game though.

I find it amusing that there is already 31 reviews for it. But only av average of 2.5 out of 5 stars is very low on GOG.

I would like to say "standards", but that's probably not it.

EDIT: I haven't found anything about BO2 absence from Steam, but I have found this instead.

Got Blood Omen 2 (the other LoK games are on Steam now)

Steam has the original Blood Omen now?

Except that one.

Crap. I got my hopes up. I still haven't played that one from the series.
Go the abandonware route, it's a bit tricky to set up, but it runs without a glitch when you do.

I've tried to before, but I always had issues with it (opening scene doesn't happen, not having any controls). May be time to try it again though.

Shit. I've played Tekwar.

I should even have the cd lying around somewhere.

And now you made me curious to check out that Fortress of Dr Radiaki.

I'd recommend emulating the PS version, never got the PC version to run properly. That was a few years back, though, and the patch I used back then seems to have been updated, so you might want to give it a try:

Also you'll need this for the videos.

I tried BOLOK PC recently and it does not work without slowing down your CPU (with CPU Grabber or sth similar).
So, go with PSX version and suffer DAT loading times...

Lies and slander, the PC version works fine.
