Be it noted: Sanitarium is a pretty good game - worth trying at least once if Adventure Games are your bag.Summer sale started.
Sanitarium for free.
so... without trash combat?Sanitarium might be the best adventure game I've ever played.
Reminiscent of Torment in certain aspects: the amnesia, waking up in a crazy place, the search for who you are...
It's an adventure game. There is the rare combat sequence, but that's all.so... without trash combat?Sanitarium might be the best adventure game I've ever played.

Also there's a working ScummVM port now so be sure to use that to play it.Be it noted: Sanitarium is a pretty good game - worth trying at least once if Adventure Games are your bag.Summer sale started.
Sanitarium for free.
SEGA joined GOG, ALien Isolation available
Also, do yourself a favor and play it completely blind. The story is actually very good and its very hard to talk about the game without talking about the parts of the game that make it that way.Be it noted: Sanitarium is a pretty good game - worth trying at least once if Adventure Games are your bag.Summer sale started.

You might still be able to play it. The current experimental builds of ScummVM can run the game, it should work mostly fine, or you could wait for the next regular build to be released, but either way it should be playable there, without crashing your system.I uninstalled Sanitarium; each and every time I launched the game, it BSOD'd my system.
Did you use ScummVM?I uninstalled Sanitarium; each and every time I launched the game, it BSOD'd my system.
That's..... uh.... very gay.
doesn't take 12 hours to install?Serious question here... does the GOG-version have any advantage over the FitGirl-repack?

Yes I did; BSOD even as an emulated XP system. I have not yet tried SCumVM as suggested above.I uninstalled Sanitarium; each and every time I launched the game, it BSOD'd my system.
Have you tried using compatibility mode?I remember that helped with the crashes years ago when I played it,mayby it will help with this problem too
