I loved Botanicula, FWIW. It made me feel like a kid again.

Not that I know of... plus, the pawn system depends on Capcom's servers, and you can't just change that. It's a critical part of the game, because half of your adventuring party is made out of pawns (the other being yourself and your own pawn). No way to patch update it?
They backtracked to the original vision of it being "good old games". Alice and Dark Messiah are screaming for GOG releases, and it wouldn't be a problem because EA and Ubisoft already represent a huge chunk of GOG's "old game" catalog. Condemned belongs to Sega, but even them have been warming up to GOG...So has GOG fallen out of the big publishers' favor? How long has it been since a former AA or AAA game was granted a GOG release? Could this be because of the ever-tightening grip of content protection schemes?
Still no McGee's Alice ffs. No Dark Messiah. No Condemned.

I'm assuming GOG is taking their time too. Recent AAA relleases have been awful to say the least (Hitman) and I think they kinda gave up on trying to compete with Steam, which was the goal with adding current games to their roster.
I like GOG but I think the thing of having so many games that are simply not up to date is a huge problem that really makes me doubt a potential purchase. Do I even have a guarantee that the game I bought will get all patches in the future? Take KOTOR2. That game really "belongs" at GOG, but it got its patch in 2015. It has not arrived to GOG as of now. So yeah.
At first I suspected that Duke might have become too risky/offensive for them. But that can't be it...The took the Duke 3D from gog. Bullox
I see Dragon's Dogma at the top - Don't buy it there. The GOG version of the game is outdated since 2017, the pawn system is bugged and you can only access to a Galaxy-only pawn pool anyways.
ha, PC is dragon dogma second class citizen

I assume it's because either he's male, or some vocal minority complained offense — or the license expired, but I doubt that; they might have dropped it for not wanting to renew their agreement. Still... Duke3D should be grandfathered in permanently for a site [once] called Good Old Games.
In the case of Dragon's Dogma, we're talking about official patches that addressed stuff that was critical to the game. They backtracked to the original vision of it being "good old games". Most of the time these "late patches" bring nothing but trouble, unless they provide compatibility that the fans can't achieve with the limited tools they have.
