For the price, yeah. As in, no deep customization(or any customization at all), and since it's basically a "get to the other side of the map" type of game, you won't be playing it again soon, but cool atmosphere and okay gameplay. The random-yet-not-really battles kind of undermine the horror aspect, though.

I hate it. It's a board game with completely arbitrary rules that can go fuck itself. What made me dump it is the fact that despite billing itself as a squad-based tactical game, it puts idiotic limitations on your actions, most notably that rifles can only shoot diagonally (like a bishop) and pistols horizontally and vertiacally (like a rook). This is bullshit and ruins a game that otherwise looks like it could have been very entertaining.

I too found the bizarre shooting 'feature' to be absolutely ridiculous, but didn't bother playing it long enough to actually hate the game.

Haven't even heard about Topware. But too much RTS and behind-the-ass-camera view for my taste is probably why.

Only games that look interesting to me are Gorky 17 and Jagged Alliance 2: Wildfire. But I seem to recall the latter being regarded as massive decline?

They switched to RPGs a while back, published Two Worlds and Two Worlds 2. They actually have some interesting ones coming out soon that are not Two Worlds.

I thought that rifles in Gorky 17 shoot like a queen, not a bishop. Anyway if you can go past the arbitrary rules, it's a fun game though not one that will stay with you your whole life.

Also Pathologic on GOG. I guess The Void will follow soon.

Pathologic's translation sucked...at least for 1.5 of the 3 characters (the girl's gameplay translation sucked horribly), which is a massive pity. Other than this, the game is extremely atmospheric and creepy.

Grab the Codex by the pussy
Wouldn't have expected GOG to get in on the action.

Over on Reddit, /r/startrek has had its theme and icons replaced with a Star Wars theme, while /r/murica has had its USA theme replaced with a France theme.

I'm trying to put together the games the Witcher screen is getting the UI elements from. The movement arrows are desaturated DM2 elements and I could swear I have seen the rest somewhere, but can't remember where. Any ideas?
