I hope tomorrow's game is another adventure. GOG needs more adventures!

No idea whether you're being sarcastic or not, but I'm inclined to agree - still waiting for GOG to release Memoria, The Raven plus the first chapter of The Journey Down among other things...

Not being sarcastic at all. I generally enjoy seeing all sorts of releases on GOG but until a couple weeks ago this year had felt very, very light on adventure classics. Maybe my memory is wrong, though.

They have quite a lot, it probably feels that way because they don't have Lucasarts.

I didn't say they have too few adventure games overall. I was referring specifically to this year's releases having just a few classic adventures:

LSL collection
LSL 7
LSL Magna Cum Laude
Inherit the Earth
Dracula Trilogy
Jack Keane
I Have No Mouth...
Legend of Kyrandia

Again, I'm talking about classic adventures they've released this year. Yea, all their releases can't be adventures, but I would hope for a few more than the list above.

Ah, gotcha.

I think they're out of easy to release classics in general, for whatever reason. They seem to come much more sparingly, and I doubt it's because the indie trash sells better.

Anyone know if Inquisitor is netbook friendly?
Being a 2D it shouldn't have problems, but I had suprises in these days.

I remember playing it on an ACER Aspire One D260. Ran OK-ish...

It works. GUI can be a bit off depending on resolution but nothing to worry. Because of Diablo combat you will need a mouse, though.
Thanks both, getting it and trying in the weekend.
Mouse is not a problem, my netbook is now (sadly) my main PC and I got it docked on desk (keyboard, mouse, speakers, monitor).
Happy I can play some new game.

Judas, what's the reason for the recent decline in the number of weekly releases (down by 50%)?
Not a fan of Privateer 2, to be honest.

When it originally released it was almost unplayable on my netbook because the mouse lagged for some reason. Dunno if it still happens.

Tried now to see if it runs, and it does good on 1024x768 (but didn't try combat yet).
Got a Packard Bell Nav50 with Atom N450 (graphic chip 3150) with upgraded 2Gb or Ram, shitty spec all around. It lags playing Bejeweled 3 and NWN1, to give the idea.

What's the best input device for a game like Privateer 2? Do you have to use a joystic/flight stick to get the most out of it, or is a mouse good enough?

Hi guys

Just sending a heads-up regarding the upcoming weekend promo we will be running tomorrow at GOG.com, that I am pretty sure your community is going to appreciate.

Starting tommorow at 10.00 AM GMT we will have a whole bunch of awesome RPG titles 60% off.
These include Wizardry 6,7,8, System Shock 2, Legend of Grimrock, Driftmoon, Gothic 2 and 3, Divinity games and more!
I will be sending a press release tomorrow but I thought you guys could use an early start.
It would be great if you could share this info with your community tomorrow.

If you have any questions I'll be happy to help.

Cheers
Piotr

Does this have anything to do with Wizardry appearing on Steam, System Shock 2 being in a Bundle, and Grimrock/Gothic/Divinity being in a sale on Steam lately?

Such coincidences!
