Hmm, Gothic 2 and Wizardries are tempting at that price...
Wizardry games have been on sale a couple of times in the last couple months. I'm hoping they'll be 75% off during the holiday sale in a daily promo.

Don't remember them being more than 60% off before.
I didn't say they were more than 60% off beforehand.

During the past holiday and summer sales each day features a pack or two of games that you can get for 75% off if you buy them all or complete the bundle.

And given how popular Wizardry is, I would bet strongly on those games showing up in a 75% off daily promo.

You have to be one hell of a penny pincher for 15% of $5.00-6.00 to make a difference.

Oooh did it make you feel good to say that? I don't see where that's relevant to discussion about GOG's sale patterns, though.

For people who buy many games or otherwise limit their budgets, saving 15% off $150 worth of games in the span of a year or so does make enough of a difference.

The Wizardry games have been on sale on GOG exactly once before this sale. I know because I only bought them then.

My mistake. I could have sworn they were in another weekend promo (they were definitely in a Monday Classic Gem promo, though).

Nice try but no, we are not heralds of the Decline :)

In other news:

Shadow Man has had some kick ass content added to it for no extra charge: the official 162-page strategy guide, a quick reference card, and a redone map. If you read this, Iain M., thanks for submitting that content to us :)

GOG is having an 80% off sale on five new Indie titles which are mostly platformers and point-and-click adventure games. So basically, you can get all five for $5. Since they are going so cheaply, I have a feeling that these aren't the greatest, but I never played any of them so others will have to pipe in.

Games are:
VVVVVV
The Adventures of Shuggy
Gateways
Time Gentlemen, Please! + Ben There Done That
Escape Goat

I have VVVVVV from a bundle and the two Time adventure games on Steam, so... think I'll pass on the platform cannon fodder there.

These 2 come recommended from a friend of mine who's almost exclusively into adventure games. He likes the games, but he says they're really pretty easy (not surprising considering modern adventures). Considering the price though, even getting a couple of hours of entertainment out of the plot and writing justifies it, I think.

Don't know anything about the others and neither does he.

Fwiw I enjoyed The Adventures of Shuggy a lot, but I'm not really knowledgeable about platformers and haven't played many of them.

More indie trash. Why would anyone in their right mind by this indie crap from GOG when steam/bundles will have it far far far far far cheaper. More good games, please. THX
