Research Indicates did one of the best Trespasser reviews/LPs. He hasn't done much since, except for some civil war and Crimson Skies gaming. But the Trespasser stuff was amazing.

DJ Slopes is a guy that talks a lot about retro gaming, some computer stuff, failed Kickstarter games and projects(like the controller you play with your genitals which was indeed a thing someone tried to sell) and more, he even did a short documentary about the bad Kickstarter of the ZX Vega+ handheld, basically an attempt to make people pay for a handheld ZX Spectrum:

Somewhat 8 to 32-bit console-focused, somewhat technical (he's got a great CRT TV repair video), but he's also got some great PC content, including one video explaining the proper aspect ratio for DOS games (this is a topic any DOS gamer would know, but he also criticizes how websites just put up direct screenshots from emulators without taking aspect ratio into consideration).

DavidXNewton doesn't have a ton of subscribers, but he has some interesting stuff about PC gaming, including Epic before they went on to make Fortnite and EGS:

Though he lately became focused on only playing DOOM maps and mods.

DavidXNewton made a new Prince Of Persia video that is quite...big:

And it's only about the very first game!

He sounds like a tard. Finicky rules about spikes? You press the walk button and can go through them. You don't press that button and you get stabbed. Simple. Also who da fak is watching 51 minute videos of some ancient game?

I never hear of it before but it does not seem so ancient. It is pretty modern, at least comparable with DMC5 and similars.

It kept getting reboots. There are newer games in the series but that one is from about 1989.

NeverKnowsBest video on Pillows of Eternity, I'm not through with the video yet, but his critique has been so far quite spot on.

Fun fact i have yet to try any of the Pillars lmao.

Watching this it seems the best way to play them is to just pick things thematically and simply wing it without bothering worrying about what works and what doesn't, turning those games into less than RPGs and more like paper dolls simulators.

How shit though? Kinda tempted, saw it dirt cheap on G2A a while back.
Imagine grandpa telling you of a boring ass situation from his youth full of people you don't know, places you've never been to and problems you don't care about in some weird Welsh accent you barely understand and no discernible end.
