Rockstar has raised GTA+ prices by up to 40%
Rockstar has raised GTA+ subscription prices.

Launched in March 2022, the service gives members access to “a rotating assortment” of Rockstar titles, while GTA Online players receive extra cash, cars, cosmetics and exclusive events.

Previously priced at $5.99 / €5.99 / £4.99, a monthly membership now costs $7.99 / €7.99 / £6.99, representing 33% increases in the US and Europe, and a 40% rise in the UK.

GTA+ doesn’t offer multi-month or annul subscription options.

Games available through the service include Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition (Xbox and PlayStation), GTA: Liberty City Stories (iOS and Android), GTA: Chinatown Wars (iOS and Android) and Red Dead Redemption (PS5 and Xbox Series X/S).

Rockstar’s western, along with its Undead Nightmare DLC expansion, was added to GTA+ last month, while Bully and LA Noire will join the service this year.

The GTA+ price increase comes ahead of the release of Grand Theft Auto 6, which is scheduled to hit PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2025.

12 YEARS. For sequal to best selling video game of all time. Bigger revenue then GDP of many countries. 12 FUCKING YEARS

Industry is sooo disfunctional and DEEPLY FUCKED on million different levels. Which is great opportunity btw

This ain't change or shift in generations or some BS. This is societal colapse shit. They can't even produce bread & (video) games for the masses to keep them docile. You know what? Good

I would love it if they went back to making smaller games. Manhunt was fucking excellent. That will never happen because everything has to be a giant fucking spectacle now.

GTA IV was the last good GTA – I still haven't finished V.
For best non-GTA Rockstar games, Manhunt and Max Payne 3 would be my picks.

I'm surprised more games haven't attempted the "found footage" aesthetic. Even Manhunt didn't 100% commit to it. It's been extremely popular in cinema ever since Blair Witch. I think it would work better in the gaming medium. Most found footage films are shit.

I guess RE7 did it a little bit. That game was also really good imo.

Pisswasser is really unfunny. I wonder about the retard who actually laughs at GTA humor.

I don't know why Rockstar calls their auto-aim "soft lock." It's a pretty hard lock, and it's what most people play because it's, disgustingly, the default. Tired of having my crotch snapped to in Max Payne 3. Always know because death shows a map of my character with the impacted bullets. Rarely bother with the default, even though it leaves me almost no one to play with (with unfair Call of Duty 4 balancing and no proper matchmaking also to blame).

That was because old team was willing to make decent stories without multiculturality and other stuff. Butcher people for views, and if you are creative and get viewers your execution might be delayed. And then doublecrossing the corrupted rich assholes who though death row prisoner is just a disposable trash.

Yea strong story with possibly happy ending.

GTA SA had also decent story progression, memorable characters, and decent humor.
GTA IV kinda screwed up with personality and background of main character. (It had funny stuff like when a nearly incomprehensible black needed to translated what other black person was saying, and they were speaking in English.)
GTA V at least had decent freedom of movement, even if young black male was meh as main character, Mike was a clishee that was copied from I don't even want to know from where, and the only one with decent personality was Trevor with his hatred against Hipsters.

Rockstar kinda lost itself. In old games they knew what they are parodying, in the new games they kinda lost ability to recognize flaws of society, and parody these flaws in a funny way.

Raghar hopefully we can pickup hookers again in GTA VI, these things matter in a crime themed game :bounce:

From what I've gathered the protagonists in this game are a couple, so this would either make one of them a cuck, they're mutually unfaithful or it's one of the first times player characters engage in bisexual threesomes.

But then there's the question of if both of them bang the same prostitute, who will run her over and who will get out to grab their money back?

Do you mean kill prostitutes like some people did in GTA SA? Then they took their money. Then they hid from policemen proud that they cleaned society from prostitutes.

This was nice parody on US. They rebelled because they didn't want to pay taxes. Let the market sort it out.

The delay could indeed be because Rockstar is seeing the backlash against woke in gaming. Perhaps they are changing stuff in response, particularly in response to Concord's spectacular flop.

I do remember Rockstar saying that they weren't going to “punch down” with VI. Take-Two Interactive [Rockstar's parent] also had that DEI seminar at E3 back in 2021.
