Say what you will about Baldur's Gate 3, Concord, Dustborn and Veilguard but they were at least open and honest about the sort of content they were pushing and including.

KDC2 actively sought to obscure it during the marketing phase, which says a lot about how confident the development team truly are. Now they're mad, because the leaks exposed their trickery and they're going to lose out on a decent amount of pre-orders. It'll still sell well, I imagine, but the controversy will only continue to gain traction up to launch and it'll be further enhanced once those who avoid social media get their hands on it. Reactions will range from indifference, amusement and disgust.

I say this as someone who was looking forward to the game, I detest hypocrisy and retcons so more than anything that is why I am not touching the game. Vavra sold out and is making a fool of himself on social media but the retcon to Henry's sexuality is really stupid and clearly driven by spite.
