It's time to replay Torment, what do I need?

Alright, 2cds version cleaned and ready to install one more time. What do I need now in terms of:

1)Official patches;
2)Unofficial patches (preferably no added content, only restored and bugfixes);
3)Resolution patches so I can run in 1280x1024;

Forget everything about the game.

Damn I still can't continue my second playthrough (stopped playing). The writing is awesome, characters are awesome but I fucking remember its storyline and events. The game isn't the same the second time.

Ditto. Well, it probably doesn't help that I've played it for at least... three times? My last playthrough was years ago, but the game's so memorable it's impossible to forget even the small details. It's not like replaying BG2, where many things are so forgettable that you don't really remember what's going to happen on a replay.

Merida, again
I pretty much memorized everything in BG2. Game is so freaking predictable.

Edit:
The 2CD version is the latest official release, so you really only need the extra mods you plan to use. You may want to try the tweak pack from Gibberling Three, as well as the widescreen mod (haven't tested it with Torment, but I like the mod since it works for every standard resolution, widescreen or not). You may also want to check here: http://modlist.pocketplane.net/index.php?ax=list&cat_id=15

restored content: http://www.spellholdstudios.net/ie/pst-ub
tweaks (including banter accelerator script enabling you to hear most of the banter if playing comprehensively, as it was intended): http://www.spellholdstudios.net/ie/pst-qtweaks

It could explain why my first (and only) playthrough of BG2 was so full of déjà vu.

As for PS:T, I would simply recommend the widescreen mod, the official and unofficial patch and the restoration content. No tweak mod really seems to bring anything new. Restored content is to me the most important, since it brings something new to your experience of Torment.

Have a look at http://www.gibberlings3.net/downloads/index.php though. But I really doubt you will find anything useful.

Perhaps if I carve the "play torment" in my back and kill myself, when I revive it's gonna be enjoyable again?

I endorse that motion. Try it and come back to tell us how it turns out--be the Codex's Torment pioneer!

The best and the only part of the Tweak mod I recommend is the banter accelerator. In PS:T, you were able to witness only a very low fraction of the total number of inter-party banters, even if you played the game "go everywhere, do everything" style.
This almost made it into the Ultimate WeiDU Fixpack, because without this, the vast majority of banters simply will -not- appear in your game. They come very rarely... for a while I thought you -couldn't- get banters by Morte or Annah. By the end of a slow and thorough game, you might see, if you're quite fortunate, perhaps 12 out of the 78 fully voiced banters that shipped with the game - and if you play multiple games, it'll likely be the -same- 12 each game. With this component added, you can see them all.

It's been eight years for me, or thereabouts. I still can't complete another playthrough, but I do have it installed on this laptop right now, so maybe...

Fucker. I didn't remember that bit. Until this very moment.
Now I must install and continue playing.

I don't want a lobotomy, thank you.

Maybe a lobotomy will make you stop caring so much about intricacies of gaming and let you enjoy the stupidest of games.

Just wait. In a couple of years Bethesda, having bought up and defiled most venerable ancient "relics" of ages past, in a plan to mould all gamer's minds into one single, slavering for more bloom, unthinking, globe spanning, screaming across the void ENTITY, completely enslaved to Bethsoft, will get to "Torment Planetscape". And do something unspeakable to it.

All and everything PS:T owned to writing and music, and had no false external shell of a graphical corpse matter,one can't and indeed better not imagine what will happen to it once Beth slithers over its shining beacon, swallows it whole body and soul, and in its stead regurgitates out of its orifices yet another hideous deformed monstrosity.

Then you'll HAVE to replay PS:T compulsively, time and time again, just to keep the shreds of your sanity intact and keep you paddling on the edge of reality with all your strength so as not to sink headfirst into a great squelching stinking Vat of Brain Absorbent Goo and be fleshwelded to a particularly disgusting appendage of that ENTITY, which is the location Bethsoft no doubt has reserved for all those at the Codex.
That is, unless by some "co-incidence" Microshit, through a "vital" patch or next OS will completely disallow using any software made before 2004.

On the other hand I might be particularly pessimistic today. :(

If the above happens I might end up trying what I suggested above.
