So is there a must have mod for this? For QoL side of things

Just bought the game and planning to play it along with ATOM over the end of the year
I think the only QOL mods out there would be Enhanced Economy, Higher recruitment cap and one of the many map mods, anything else is adding more content like weapons, armors and what not.

So yesterday I was exploring Cheaters Run when I..
Found some abandoned village (Probably an old Holy Natio outpost since it had Emperor statues inside) that was filled with old security robots from the Second Empire and noticed something particular, by chance it was Agnu who went inside first and I saw that they are the same model but also share the same clothing color. In case you lads didn't know, Agnu will recolor, if possible, any clothing it has to ad ark blue, which is the same as these police units. So I was wondering if she was actually some police unit from the second empire that ended at the Tower of Abuse.

After some consideration, I decided to start selling off all my unique research items. Just don't feel like micro-managing a base or doing the crafting grind in this play through.

The good thing is shops seem to keep these items in their inventory permanently. And there is no mark up should one decide to buy it back. So you could just use them as no-interest loans by selling them off early game and buying them back when you need them.

After having visited the Scraphouse, I feel even better about the decision. Bought seven Edge 3 weapons and an Edge 2. If that place restocks like the other stores, I'm not going to miss weapon crafting.

Armor is more of an issue. Just buying better pieces here and there wherever I can find it. Have a decent amount of Specialist gear but some of my guys also still have the odd Standard item (head coverings are especially hard to find so far). And there are annoying comprises like spending big money on high end Leather Shirts, knowing full well that I'm going to want to replace them all with Leather Turtlenecks as they become available.

So far, Mongrel seems like the best place to find higher end armor but I haven't spent much time in the Holy Nation yet as most of my party would provoke them. Also haven't been to some of the Northeast UC cities so maybe I'll find some good stuff there.

Saw my first Leviathan last night. I think it is cool that there are things in the world that you may never be able to kill and they aren't some big bad evil or important NPC but just a big animal that is completely indifferent to your group. Anything more than a couple of spider sentries are still beyond my abilities at the moment too. Beak things are no longer a problem in individual encounters but certain areas of the map are so full of them that it becomes a losing war of attrition after a while and I must retreat. Going to start trying some high end bounties....

Ah yes, Boneyard is truly a place of woes.

I'm wary of mods now given the "fiddling with mods to playing with them" ratio I've had with other games.

Anyone given any a try that are good, though?

The bots I found for my Prison antics were dressed in similar rags

They were in a reprogramming/disposal facility, so they could very well be the clothes all Skellies were assigned with back then.

They being called "unique" is a misnomer.

Black Desert City not only sells them, but restocks with them, too. I held onto all of mine when I first emptied their market, but then came back only to find more of them. I haven't seen much this time around passing by, so I could be wrong. I plan on doing another thieving haul soon so I'll see if they're back again or not.

Well, in the end I tried the demo only for 1 hour and ended buying it. I already clocked 60h and I'm having a blast, for anyone that wanted to see a natural evolution of games like Baldur's Gate, Fallout, Neverwinter Nights, etc, this is the game for it.

It is a little overwhelming at the beginning to understand all the game systems and rules, but they are very simple and easy to learn.

I played Pillars, Wasteland 2, Underrail, Battle Brothers and some others few RPG/Tactics and IMHO, and they weren't that fun (In truth, I didn't finish most of them). I was never really satisfied with them and was beginning to think that cRPG's for me were a thing of the past, rarily checking the RPG part of the forum and focusing more on Tactics/Strategy/Survival games.

I think the answer about what games should be like (after some old classics like the ones cited before) that many developers wanted to find, it's here in Kenshi (Or maybe Kenshi is the game I wanted to play and it has nothing to do with devs). There is a few things that could be improved, but overall the game offers everything to all kinds of play styles and tastes, like crafting, biggers squads, base building, researching, exploration, survival, pets, trading, farming, professions, a simple and efficient game system, actual prejudices between races (so u need to be mindful to not go with a droid in a UN city), beautiful landscape, etc.

This game is huge and have plenty of fun, I can see me playing it for more than 200h easy. :happytrollboy:

I really like Kenshi, too, but this is not true. I wouldn't call an open world survival sandbox with base building, learn-by-using character progression, and no story the natural evolution of classic CRPGs (broad definition of classic if we're including NWN).

How do I make the text bigger? It's micro-sized on my 1080p monitor. Tried reducing resolution to 1280x720 and it's still tiny. Help please?

Okay, I figured it out. Now about mining. I'm swinging my pickaxe at copper apparently and nothing is happening. Why?

Is it just me or is the game world very very empty?

It's mostly desert and barrens. If anything, it's too busy in those parts.

I do agree around the more fertile places that should be packed, like Okrans Pride, though.

I meant in terms of finding things in the wilderness. Like caves or some dead body to loot for treasure, or even a treasure chest, etc.. are these sorts of things in the game?

No caves. Dead bodies come from stumbling across combat taking place. Chests are in buildings you come across, which you should be finding at a decent rate as they appear on my map as soon as they come into visual range of your guys.

What region are you messing around in?

Well to be fair I only checked it out for about 15 minutes. I got some weirdo named Hobbs to join my group and then we went out to explore and got beaten to death by a band of hungry people. Although we didn't die, we were unconscious, but I sped up time and nothing seems to be happening. Is that a reload situation or would we eventually get up?

Region? I started as a wanderer and also tried one where I started in the desert.

Gonna have to wander around more. Advisable to do it sneaking, if only to work the skill up at first, and go along paying attention to what comes into your field of vision and stay a good distance for large groups.

If your chest (maybe head and stomach, hasn't happened to me that I noticed( goes below 0 into negative numbers it most likely will continue increasing till -100 when you're guy will die. If you get KOed without that then you'll eventually come too, but best to keep saving often early on and avoid combat until you can find a town to base yourself out of.

Region? I started as a wanderer and also tried one where I started in the desert.

I ask because the Great Desert in the east is oddly very active, while other areas are sparser, like around the Hub in the west.

I was around or in the Hub I think. I went into this valley and saw the group. So most groups will be hostile then? Not trying to spoil too much of my discovering it on my own but I have to avoid head trauma to explore properly. :)

And are there quests in the game? Factions to join or work for, advance in rank, etc.?

You'll have to learn which aren't, but it's a good thing to assume that any large group is hostile until you know for certain. If you do get aggro, run. The game isn't like most where pursuing melee stick to enemies or get free attacks - it is VERY difficult for a meleer to hit a runner even if the runner is surrounded. If you get into a chase don't give up. Run for the border of the region you're in (Check the map, the regions have pretty clearly defined differences in coloration that is unnatural given the sudden changes in biome that take place crossing into a new one) or a city with guards that you know are friendly (The Hub has no dedicated guards, the thieves help if you join em and unless some ex-slaves around around no one will help you). Usually if you go into a new region the pursuers will give up and turn around.

Even if you get overtaken do things like changing direction when someone gets close enough to make a swing, or turn around to make a feint to fight, the AI will stop and raise their wep to get into combat slowly, giving you time to turn back around and take off again.

Don't fret about this being a waste of time. Athetlics is important to get up and quiet slow to do. Get it up and you can soon outrun most people. Grab a crossbow and then you can solo kite groups if you feel like it.

No quests, the theme of the game is making up your own story. There are bounties on people around the world. If you click on them a bounty will show up in the bottom left area. Beat em up, or KO em with Assassination if you can, carry thier boy to a police building and talk to someone to get your bounty.

You can find bounty pages for sale or stuffed in containers. They are not like in most games where you need to acquire them to start the bounty "quest", they're just pointers to show you who to keep an eye out.
