Kung Fu Superstar: Become the Ultimate Martial Arts Stuntman A Molineaux' pupil want to create the ultimate martial arts simulator, so far the game looks like a Wing Chun mod for Virtua Fighter, they promise more styles for the future, aka DLCs, last but not least, for who is in this kind of things, the Wing Chun consultant was William Cheung.

Looks like a QTE game. Guitar Hero for martial arts.

The British are coming!:D

I take your Sui Generis and raise you Maia http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1438429768/maia and Industry http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1383758077/industry . Kung Fu Superstar is British as well. This is the beginning of that flood of European games I was talking about when KS allowed people with UK bank accounts to start projects.

Solenttar is a story, party and turn-based computer RPG set in an unique world called Lanterna using the openForgeRPG engine. openForgeRPG is a simple 2D, grid based and turn based engine. The intent is to create a game engine that results in a virtual table top, Pen and Paper (PnP) type feel in a single player computer game. Turn Based Combat System: Encounters take place in a separate window. Combat is turn based and functions similar to the way it was with the Gold Box games or during PnP sessions on a grid map. Each player and enemy takes a turn to move, attack, cast spells, launch arrows, or run away screaming. Encounter Scaling: NO SCALING of encounters or quests… don't try and take out the local dragon threat at level one...bad, bad decision. AND it will be coming with a toolset to make your own games.

:salute: Fuck yes. Only asking for 4K.

PC, initially. Though we are keen to get it onto other platforms as well.

And the specter of console/iOS cancer possibly invades another game..

I'm not, and that's the thing - I doubt they can get 128k pounds just from people who know this game. But I hope they prove me wrong, I read about the concept and it's awesome.

From the last update for Myth:
Q: So what would you do with the 450,000? What costs are involved that could make it so high?
A: We didn't arrive at the number $450,000 arbitrarily - There's at least $100,000 for the licensing, and that's a hopeful estimate. There's also (and this is not even getting into major development really yet) reward tier fulfillment, shipping costs, kickstarter/amazon's cut, marketing costs, voiceovers, a good network coder, and buying the game servers to run Myth's multiplayer server.

So let me get this straight... they think they could get license for mere 100k (or a bit more)? Ahahahahahahahaha!

That looks just super great. I will be pledging for this next week. Combat looks like a serious incline to me, although it is still to early to say it for sure. But it looks great - the way parrying works, and all the physics behind the strikes making you wobble.
I am not so sure about the "no saving loading" system. I mean I understand that it can be important for c&c (i.e., you did something - live with that). Still, it is such a classic system that it may turn a lot of people off. I hope it will not be a bane for this game.

I have my doubts though whether they will reach their goal. 3k only so far.

I, for one, would welcome Codex interview with them and some coverage.

EDIT:::

Also:
There are very good reasons for us choosing an isometric view, both in terms of gameplay and of visual quality. Isometric views are great from a tactical perspective and for awareness of your surroundings. The combat system woud simply not work with any other view. I know we have only shown basic combat for now but, also with many more prominent features on their way, this will definitely be a strong point of the game.

Well, they claim that they have all the world, story etc. worked out and they will reveal bits in the next updates. But yes, it looks like sandbox open world game from the first sight.

Which is not a bad thing by itself, unless your publisher wants another Skyrim or smth.

I second the plea for an interview!

Phelot Mythstarter failed, what a surprise. Report any and all ensuing butthurt. :smug:

Not much going on from the three involved. They kind of kept quiet. The two main dudes weren't very well liked to begin with, I gather. I'll keep checking though, I suspect Ooga will post a rant.
