I give it :5/5::1/5: and a negative rating on Steam. The writing and cutscenes are nice, Vavra is a based bro so I will give KCD a bonus point, but the game itself is pretty MEH. I am just not easily impressed by Oblivion clones with wonky design that are extremely buggy to boot.

Not at all. I've been saying for the last two weeks I can respect a negative rating if it's not "KCD is fantastic, best game ever, instant classic....but sadly, there are some bugs so...7/10?" Now THAT'S retarded.

I'm certainly not gonna shit on someone saying some of the design elements don't work for them. That would be retarded too.

I have to agree with this, as endearing based Vavra's propensity to btfo the SJW's is, the best thing a person in a position of having responsibility over so many employees can do is just remain quiet and non chalant, do not kiss the purplehead's asses, don't buckle over their demands, but don't call them out or start Internet bitchfights with them either, just STFU and make your game.

As they say, "There is no such thing as bad publicity".

I don't see sjw games raking in the dosh. This phrase is an excused made by some cio when they fucked up royally. There is bad advertisement, Vavra just have a head on his sholders and made good advertisement.

distracted by the latest stellaris expansion, always playing warframe on and off, annoyed by the extremely limited inventory space and scared by all the talk about bugs and boredom toward the final missions, i stopped playing this right after the fake sermos quest (which was awesome).
it's a shame, it was just tiny bits away from being a masterpiece, but all those bits put together weight a lot.

Smejki, since you've come back, what's the status on the horse race quest (sport of kings) deactivating fast travel random encounters? And the side activity beggar's feast, which is bugged because the quest giver is suddenly being tortured on the pillory square in Rattay, after you rob the seal of a trader in Ledetchko. You can talk to him but nothing related to the quest.

in which you cavort with women from uzhitz in the forest, you're attacked by 2 bandits. You can kill them or let the girls die. But i just punched them and they were knocked and got unconscious. After they wake up, they flee, and reappear again - litearaly, they materialize at the ritual scene - just to run again. This stay on loop unless you actually kill them. I wanted to keep them alive.
Is it a possible outcome or is it intended to be them or the ladies?

I'm not familiar with the quest but a colleague says this is fixed in 1.3

No it is the situation where you can't progress the quest if you had finished Pestilence before that. It is the only totally broken quest i have seen in the game. Had to replay 7 hours of side quests. To fix it you had to get to the bandit rob/kill him and take the letter to Radzig the camp on the upper east side of the village. After that you had to rush and finish the pestilence quest. If you finish the "pestilence" before finishing the "questions and answers" the cutscene doesn't load and Radzig goes back to Rattay. The quest doesn't finish and there is no objective. And if you talk to Radzig again he acts as if the "pestilence" is no finished and you tell him that there is plague going on.

It must be some messed up triggers.

I don't think they ever mentioned removing these ''features'', almost resembles what the big boys in the industry are doing, lie and deny till you get caught of course, then make some dumb excuses and you get away with milions of dorrars by delivering not even 50% of what you promised. The saviors of gaming:lol:

I'm actually starting to think developers should stop releasing games.

That is, they should stop saying - we're working on the game now and on 10sh July we will release the final product. That implies you'll buy a flawless, polished product on 10th July, just as polished as you expect your new washing machine or hair dryer to be.

Problem is, just as Vavra said, creating a game is not a manufacturing process, it's research and development. Nobody has ever released a bugless, polished open-world RPG. There are glitches in fucking Zelda and this is a super simple game for one confined system.

What everyone developing a game of any substantial complexity should do going forward is they should treat the previously "release day" as a start of an open beta or an early access. Ofc they should polish their game as much as they can but then they throw it out as an open beta and keep debugging. If you wanna risk it, you buy early, if you wanna wait, you buy later. But it'd be super transparent, no confusion, no mixed signals.

Come on mate,stop being butthurt! Are you telling me that you really didn't like the game? A rpg is far more than simply technical shit,most of the best rpgs were/are buggy messes. Games like ToEE is still bug omelet. The game is a good rpg that is worth the money.

I feel it's way too easy to break it. Often the "stolen" tag disappears way to fast and even if it doesn't fences are too willing to buy it off. Maybe they should have some daily limit or drastically reduced resources or something. And looted armor should be "stolen" too. Plus vendors in general should be much poorer.

Something is just off if you can be sitting on tens of thousands of groschen half-way through the game, without even trying to much.

By economy you mean sneak at night and loot around 10 000 groschen and on the next day buy all the good things. As for the stolen tag,from my experience it depends on how expensive it is the item. I had a few good things staying stolen for weeks. Still it will be nice if most things lost a zero in their price and thus making it more realistic. Also the fences should have more money.

One bug that drove me nuts was that the quests objectives from the monastery quest kept updating after I was done with it. Constant harassment of go to eat, do your chores etc etc.
