    horse.

  • Knocking out Margaret during "Sheep in Wolf's Clothing" can no longer
    break the quest.

  • Killing the scouts near the mines before "The King's Silver" quest no
longer causes infinite fader in that quest.

    freeze.

  • It is no longer possible to drop off the horse in "Run!" quest when the
    player skips the cutscene.

  • Encouraging Procopius to have his tooth pulled now works even when
the player has "Rocketeer" quest started.

Nice list, and I like what I read, especially the in-game ways to fix things (like buying indulgences and restoring quest items).

On the other hand it shows how much of the game didn't work properly and in what (sometimes hilarious) ways.

Why is Runt so stupid that he fights without a helmet? I smashed his face in with my warhammer in one hit.

True. The game was still heaps of fun tho which also speaks volumes.

They set themselves an impossible goal and they almost reached it. Unfortunately world will always be full of retards who prefer flawless shit like The Last of Us or Uncharted to flawed gems like Elex or KCD. That's why mass-taste indicators like Metacritic or Steam score are utterly meaningless to me.

Too bad you couldn't come up with a less juvenile answer. Do not get me wrong - I have nothing but tremendous respect for what you gentlemen have accomplished so far, I've enjoyed the game immensely for the first 30-40 hours or so, but I don't think staying mum about those glaring shortcomings is helping anybody. If anything, I want them improved so that we all have a better gaming experience. This game has genuine potential to be perfect - will releasing & spending your resources on a documentary get us closer to that? I'm afraid not and I would take some convincing to believe that it will have any effect on sales either. On the other hand, will the improvements in combat mechanics, such as two-handers, polearms & crossbows make the game much more complete & fun? You bet it will.
:tip of the hat:

P.s. To the gentleman who suggested that those who criticize this game must be connoisseurs of "flawless shit" such as the Last of Us and Uncharted - I've never played those games and in the case of the latter, don't even have the slightest idea what its about. Thank you.

PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath
The monastery mission was the beginning of the railroading and decline of the single player story for me too, the game's weakest part started from there and I could tell they were running out of time and budget because the amount of reactivity suddenly dropped. Having a cinematic experience with a third person game about the Italian mob is one thing, trying to cram the player into your vision of a cinematic experience set in medieval Bohemia, in a game that was just five minutes ago open world, is quite another. I hope I don't have to endure it again. I know it wasn't intentional, and eh, the game was pretty fun overall.

I mean, KCD remained fun for 80% of my playtime, and look at Mafia III, it doesn't manage to stay interesting beyond the first "conquered outpost".

Just a joke. Please don't take that one so seriously. I'm not trying to silence or laugh AT you.
The "they're are doing X instead of (unrelated) Y" is an argument way too common among "angry gamers" and I find it funny every time it pops up.

So jokes aside
will releasing & spending your resources on a documentary get us closer to that?
No. No, it won't get us closer. But it won't delay those things by a second either. These processes are parallel and independent and making a documentary is negligible in terms of money. Also, it was a KS goal, so we have to make it if we don't want to piss off our backers.

But seriously, I guess I see where you're coming from. I personally don't take any "ZOMFG 10/10 flawless gem! Don't you dare criticize it!" messages seriously. Of course, all of us in the company can see the game has many shortcomings. We know about all the glaringly missing or rushed content. We all want many parts improved. We all want many things that ended up on the floor of the cutting room see make it into the game.
And we did add a lot of stuff. We did fix and improve a shitton of other things. And we will continue for some time. We cannot however afford to do everything. The resources are not endless. I'm pretty sure you understand that.
Now, I understand that by "staying mum helps nobody" you aim to defend your attitude towards providing feedback. That's not necessary as I would never discourage you from doing so. We're getting a lot of it and we appreciate it. Really. And I get that it could be frustrating when you feel like your feedback is not being paid attention to. So it might seem like we are also "staying mum" but we certainly don't ignore the feedback. Quite the contrary. However, when we cannot give you a solid answer along "this and that is scheduled for a total overhaul in September update" then it's pointless to give any answer as the only alternative would be "Yeah, that'd be nice".
Can I tell you my opinion on the whole monastery quest? I'm afraid I can't.
Will the monastery ever improve? If it breaks, yeah. But we're not redesigning it. Ever. Not even in parts.
Will crossbows make it into the game? I don't know. And even even if I knew I would not be allowed to tell you until some official reveal.
Will polearms receive a complete overhaul (cause the system is terrible now)? Dtto.
And so forth.
And of course many things will never retro-make it into the game. But not for a lack of will on our part.

But rest assured
But who am I kidding - they ll most definitely leave this for next game or some major DLC
that this won't happen. I mean the DLC part. If we ever make any substantial changed or expansion to any systems then all of our customers will receive it in an update. We see paid DLCs as pure quest content and/or items (like the pre-order bonus armors). And after all, the DLCs have already been revealed. There's no "buy this to have crossbows in the game, MUHAHAHA, MUNEYZZZ!" DLC planned.

Yo Smejki is the patching largely done or are there still major issues left? I remember a while back you talked about the reputation system being borked, for instance.

Hmn. Should have started a new playthrough a week later.

I wonder, since they'll support the game via DLCs, will they add reactivity to certain quests like repopulating Rovna after bringing the priest back(or just adding an AI package to the priest so he should do something else other than standing there :P) etc?

Will the main story continue in a DLC, or a sequel? It is clearly left open, to put it politely.

Really don't get the bashing of Smejki in regards to KCD or Warhorse.. He has been pretty transparent to us (as much as he can) and was responding to people's problems very quickly and is here for banter as well, not just as a studio hype man.

I thought KC was always meant to be a trilogy.

I think they scraped that initial plan early in development, which was splitting the game in 3 & releasing them 1 year apart. Sure looks like there'll be a sequel from what Vavra's been saying, maybe eventually a third game.

Why has Vavra forsaken our little forum?
Smejki tell me when is the best time to start playing the game for real, I get bored watching the updates pile up and waiting for the last, best one.

Vavra was trolled out, just like most devs in the past. No patience and/or time to argue with aspies and nerdragers, especially with him being a nerdrager himself.

Vavra got balls but even in the original pitch here there were some fucking morons complaining about "no magic makes it boring" IIRC.
But in reality, I suppose arguing with the people here is such an enormous waste of time that he just doesn't bother.

Don't be daft. Where do you see bashing? In pointing out that the game's still got some homework to do? This ain't the codex I signed for.

As for Smejki , thanks for honest answers. Are you doing communications for the game? If so, Warhorse has spent its money well. Best of luck with future games.

Not really. I just wanted a proper answer and I think we got some valuable info out of this - We know things we didn't before, i.e. updates (or rather, uncertainties) on polearms, two-handers, crossbows etc. It's better than not knowing or thinking devs are not concerned about these aspects of the game.

Nope. Just happen to be a long time codexer. I love this cave of endless unrelenting shitstorms.
:shitandpiss:
Which I guess is also why I'm prone to throwing some stupid shit around like that joke I made. It's a part of the Codex culture.
