Yesterday game peaked at 466k viewers on Twitch, which is p. massive. About twice as many as KCD1.

Not sure about sales numbers tho. Steam peak was about 160k concurrents and I honestly expected more (could be higher this weekend). Dragon's Dogma 2 peaked at about 186k on Twitch but at 226k on Steam. I wonder if piracy could've played role here (DD2 has Denuvo).

Plus Vavra himself recently said Steam sales can be relatively reliably calculated as: number of all reviews x32. And there are about 4,4k reviews on Steam. If they really sold only 150k copies so far that'd be p. terrible.

Just a reminder KCD1 sold a milion in the first 9 days. We'll see what they report next week.

Given it's an open-world RPG and given the in-built fanbase from the first game and given the massive numbers on Twitch and Youtube I expected the sales and concurrents being WAY higher.

I absolutely think the woke stuff hurt them, no doubt in my mind. A lot of people are boycotting it completely and even more people (WAAAY nare playing it but pirated. That's p. clear from the Twitch vs. Steam numbers.
