Steam usually releases shit at 19:00 in whatever region, don't believe you can play it tomorrow @ 9. It's more likely 29 hours if you're in Western Europe.

While it is true that most games release at the store update time in your region, that is just the automatic release date and is not set in stone. Devs/pubs can release whenever they want to, which is why higher profile games will have midnight launches. If the devs say that's when it will be released, then that's when it will be released.

Anecdote: my great great grandmother used a lot the word "Fuck" (pronounced "fook"). That is old German and means shit. She also said "Kneif"instead of "Messer" = knife

It's kinda heartbreaking to spoil it to you. I heard homo sapiens are bit scared when they can't wash themselves for more than week, but... People in 1403 washed, and in summer even daily.

For Noel: Look into Magninius Mediolanesis, and perhaps Secreta Secretorum (The medical treatise, not that defining textbook for psychos from E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy. Then again they were nice psychos.)

Public baths ended in 1348 because it was best way to die. (Villages and solitary houses were typically fine, and could continue batching, and washing various body parts without problem.)

Where did you people get this from? Watching the first hour of gameplay will show townspeople start conversations and initiate dialogue about daily on-goings and politics with one another while the player walks by, also if you walk into them they make comments like "What are you doing?", "Stop it!" etc. Other than that, the player character in this game isn't an "iconic hero" that will likely be recognized or commented on like in The Witcher, it's just some guy that likely ends up conscripted on one side of the war, but we'll see about that.

Just watching the "historian guy stream". Indeed, when you bump into people on the street, they will react, verbally at least. The conversations observed between villagers in Skalitz however, are scripted.

I know this is totally beside the point, but fuck is one of the oldest words in the English language and it’s distressing to see someone piss all over our wonderful pre-Norman heritage. The only reason fuck and cunt and so on are considered bad language is that this is how poor people talked, while their francophone betters had sex with vaginas. Pretty sure if you went to London any time in the last thousand years and said “fuck me” they would know exactly what you meant.

Would it be better if Vavra recorded the game in period appropriate Middle English? Old high German? 15th century Czech?

I loved Apocalypto and thought Passion of the Christ was the best snuff film ever, but there’s no percentage in making a game in an extinct dialect.
