And now make the damn video or I will beat you with that cheap whiskey bottle! :flamesaw:

Finally a developer capable of surviving the harsh environment of RPG Codex.

Game is looking really good so far. Gonna buy into EA soon.

Must admit that my formerly pure and idealized vision of Avellone has become tarnished lately. It started when he appeared on that panel with the Sarkeesian woman.

A part of me is hoping that Vavra will become deified and usurp the throne. Perhaps KCD will be the perfect tool by which to do so. Just as Sarevok intended to ascend to godhood by means of massive warfare and bloodshed, Vavra might do so by means of quality gaming on a mass scale, drawing upon the collective synergies of energy simultaneously emanating from countless based roleplayers. KCD's extreme degree of historical authenticity, whiteness, and base truth, may be so polarizing that the heavens themselves will tear asunder to make way for his ascension.

Vavra already carries the portfolio of beardliness, which is powerful in and of itself. And he has a powerful familiar.

One thing that makes me really excited about this game is that once they release it, they will have a platform (hopefully a really good platform) for making medieval/dark ages games. A lot of the hard work for these type of games is the underlying engine and systems, the combat (especially the complex combat system here), the NPC schedules, the dialogue and scripting, and so on. Most of this will be done after KCD comes out, although obviously they can always expand on things later, upgrade graphical quality, etc. But afterwards, they can mostly just stick to creating content, writing dialogue, designing quests and characters, putting down towns and dungeons.
This platform would allow Warhorse to churn out medieval/dark age games at a much lower cost and quicker as well. As someone who loves history and that period specifically, I am very intrigued by all the possibilities. You can tackle such awesome settings as the Crusades, Dark Age Vikings, stuff in Spain between Christians and Muslims, Anglo-French wars, the conflicts in Russia between Russians and the Golden Horde or Teutonic Knights, and with slight modifications to the engine/systems, you can also tackle more exotic stuff in other parts of the world around that time.
With an epilepsy warning from 4:05. At 3:24:

Daniel.Vavra
Do you think, that after this 3 chapters, something like Konstantinopel in the 15th century or 1202-1203 AD is plausible? Or hungary 950-955 AD?

I'd definitely want a familiar capable of causing such butthurt by its very presence. A purebreed troll, very OP.

Besides, charisma is a decent dump stat. Just imagine how it's spent those surplus points.

Awesome dogs.

EDIT: Speaking of Vavra, I just tried to replay Mafia II. That game fucking sucks. Hope this'll turn out better than that shit.

Just fired up the alpha, half-expecting my not-so-new and not-top-of-the-line-even-then rig wouldn't even be able to play it faster than a slideshow.

Wrong.

It's smooth and looks fucking gorgeous. I didn't get anywhere because I got the uncontrollable urge to lie down in a sunlit field, listen to the flies buzz and the swallows circle overhead.

The fact that he bought something from Apple in the first place shows that no, he does not.
