Skyway, can you please start using capital letters at the start of your sentences? It annoys the fuck out of people when somebody writes a couple paragraphs but only bothers to capitalize the acronyms. Makes it a pain to read.

I also capitalize the I in the beginning of the sentences and not only there, when I'm talking about myself, must be my big ego speaking, see?

That's what you'd need them to do. If what you wanted them to do included not leaking the mod because you wanted to get it to a polished state before anyone saw it, then you'd be trusting them not to leak it. Seems logical to me, at least as far as logic can be applied to enthusiasms and hobbies.

People say that TG have done what they've done out of a desire to be worshipped, but that is completely at odds with their silence and the fact that they don't revel in any celebrity they might have at all, never have done.

But they do. I never said they didn't; I said they were making it for themselves; that they enjoyed the work, and that the work itself was the reason they were in it. I never said they were making it purely for them to enjoy when it is finished, and you'd know that this was the case if you read the appropriate threads on the forum.

Which is one reason why it's there.

You are making excuses again. If TG would be in this entirely for themselves, they wouldn't care if someone leaked the mod to others nor would they make trailers and hype for the mod. If you're doing something like this purely for yourselves, you'd hardly care about a leak and carry on as usual. Thus you wouldn't need any sort of shenanigans if a leak happened.

Silence doesn't mean they don't bask in their intenet celebrity. Nor does the fact they don't publicly appear. The fact they have fascistic moderation and zero tolerance to non-asskissing opinions, however, points that they indeed want a forum filled with sycophants.

So you're admitting they're not making it for themselves and for the joy of working?

It's kinda interesting that you keep on giving excuses for TG's behaviour that don't match with the behaviour.

On the contrary. Having pride in what you have done and not wanting it to be seen unpolished make perfect sense. You'd care, alright.

As for the trailers, I think you'll find they were a direct response to people asking for progress rather than some carefully-planned campaign of hype.

]So you're admitting they're not making it for themselves and for the joy of working?

I'm admitting nothing of the kind; you're doing a fine job of not reading what I'm writing. Look again. I said they planned to share it, not that the sharing is their given motivation.

The Interplay Fallout 1 forum had Andrew, aka Grim Reaper.

The Fallout 2 forums had Bullcock (later Bullock), eom, and others.

And now the Codex, a site that sprang forth from Troika fanboyism, is a hub of trolls, multiheaded dicks and other atrocities. Is there a pattern to this?

the only thing they should actually feel ashamed of, is taking 3.5 years to make a mod/patch.

Isn't it ironic that "apparently" they held it back so they didn't look bad, but by doing so they look even worse.

And you still provide no logical reason as to why they would not want people to see their beta versions.

Pride?

My god, these people think they can claim copyright on the mod because -it has one of their voices- recorded on it, and a couple of custom animations, i can't think of any decent modder team out their with such delusions.

Man, they are just lazy butthurt wankers. that's all the truth to it.

Another proof of TG's douchebaggery:
http://forums.team-gizka.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3762

"so guys how was the leak"
cocksucker #1: noooo! you dirty thief! you must not play the unfinished version!
cocksucker Darth Windu: nooo! this is heresy! mods please close this thread
mod: k.

I'm sure there also were a bunch of deleted comments actually discussing the mod. But you can't discuss the mod here! You may discuss only the bits of info we troll you with and how big and tasty TG's penis is - but you can't discuss actual mod.
The TG has this unwritten rule that TSLRP mod is somehow belongs to them which isn't true.

I also like the topic "Suck it, mod stealers! 1.09b is here!!" created by some fanboy. The biggest lol is that we can play 1.0b8 and he can only wank to the number 9.

I like the second comment in that thread
yupyup, keep up the good work guys

p.s: it's mindblowing how many threads have popped up either asking about the impressions on the leaked version, and even asking to fix a bug I mean, how dumb are these people?
The mind boggles.

For the lazy asses, other must see threads:

I have no idea why you insist on a logical reason. And frankly, I think 'not wanting people to see it until it's fully playable' IS logical enough.

Oh, no. Thinking of a mod they've been working on for ages and haven't officially released yet as theirs. The arrogance! Are you even listening to yourself? What I'd like to hear is why they shouldn't think of it as theirs.

Even the leaked page makes it clear:' Team Gizka Presents the TSLRP', and though it's wrong about the implied permission, it certainly gets the sense of responsibility for the mod right. And you're wrong, in three places: the team leader didn't think anything would come of the copyright claim, so there's no illusions there; Kaevee's voiceovers are copyrighted; and the voice isn't even one of TG's, but a volunteer.

IMHO if they mess around very much longer with it, they really WILL be working for the total and sole love of 'self entertainment' or whatever. I think with this beta popping loose and out for anyone to download, someone is going to come along that can finish it out way quicker than these guys are doing and release out a playable mod. It's not gonna matter how much the community or some in the community bitch and scream about it, nor are the people that have waited all these years going to much care either when a fairly bug free release happens and they can play it out. So saying a 109b release or whatever the hell build they're on is gonna 'show' those mod stealers a thing or two, they're not gonna have the 'latest greatest' version' is a pretty lame and immature POV, cause some hot shot's going to finish it and revel in the notoriety that that brings, knowing that anyone with the ability to do that is simply NOT going to suffer a lot of loss of reputation. After all good mod makers are always popular no matter what, and people will dl their stuff no matter what.

I have dl'ed it, have NOT played it and am not going to, but more for 'insurance' if TG folds or whatever. HOWEVER IF someone released this mod in a more polished form, I'd play it in a second. Sorry but after 3.5 years and no idea how many more years they're going to take, it's just enough. And as you say, it was for THEIR OWN enjoyment, so I don't think myself or any other would be robbing them of their 'fun', I don't think the ones that have dl'ed have detracted from their fun either. If their joy is simply working on the mod, and that is the end point, why would they care who has what and does what with it?

Instead they went all butthurt locking and deleting topics where people reported -bugs that aren't on mantis- which only proves that TG is a very very shitty team of modders, and having no deadlines + spending 3.5 years to release nothing only proves this again and again.

I have no idea why you insist on a logical reason. And frankly, I think 'not wanting people to see it until it's fully playable' IS logical enough.
It is fully playable. People even completed the game with it. Version 1.0c will still have fucktons of bugs. Team gizka is nothing but a bunch of butthurt drama faggots and don't want to receive even a single bug report which actually will help them. Not mentioning the "don't post your fixes dirty thieves" policy.

Oh, no. Thinking of a mod they've been working on for ages and haven't officially released yet as theirs. The arrogance! Are you even listening to yourself? What I'd like to hear is why they shouldn't think of it as theirs.
Because everything there belongs to Lucasarts. Even EULA says so. EULA also says that you can't alter the game in any way - so this pretty much means that Lucasarts may close the TSLRP any time they want. Just like Beth did it with Morrowind mod for Oblivion. So I think TG just needs a reality check.

You can say it is your mod only if you make something on your own. Like Markland's Purgatorio. TG makes nothing. They simply alter what's already there. They do nothing else. And spending 3.5 years just to alter what's already there and even don't release a single thing, excuse me, are you fucking kidding me?

An announcement: This mod works just fine with the no-cd crack for the game. Apparently it is "illegal" to about this on the TG forums. What a bunch of pansy babies. I mean how pathetic can they be?

Okay. Sorrey. Itiss hard to reed betwen teh linez.

Wrong. The bugs are still there, just no one cares to abuse the game extensively.
heh - people were even tried to nitpick the game with dumb characters and Drog fixed even those bugs. so nobody abused the game - oh yes. bugs always will be there.
Just read the damned thread.

This weekend will see the release of 1.0b1. It has been a long time coming. Especially given the amount of complaining some of you are wont to do
so what did you try to prove by this quote? that TG "released" another build to troll the people who actually waited for it and actually never even thinking of letting them touch it, except for the chosen ones, thus proving that they are douchebags again?
oh and before you will post some retarded comment about this - they've created the whole fucking subforum with "closed beta team impressions about the mod" with lots of cocksucking from that closed beta team plus "we are playing it now, while you fags don't"
Nothing really. I wanted to provoke you to make sure you're just a whiny little bitch.

No - it is hard to read.
He asked where people get the idea that open beta (more testers as Dashus twisted it) means faster? Drog patch is an example - it goes faster. Faster than TG with TSLRP that is. Dashus was basically saying that it gives slower results. The guy with the 3.5 years old project that still isn't finished (or playable according to Dashus). You seem to forget that with more testers you have more anxious people breathing in your back and asking you to do the job quicker - and also posting bugs that your team didn't encounter yet and their own bugfixes (some people helped Drog to fix art f.e.) - so it only can speed up the nearly stopped project, don't you think? So oh yes - Dashus is right in his words obviously. Try better failing less next time.

No, it doesn't. The progress depends on how fast modders can fix bugs, not on how many reports they get.

reread my post. more people having your code and asking you to fix their bugs now to continue testing it for you = speeding up the nearly dead project.
you would've been right in a case of a normally going project - yes. But we are speaking about a zombie mod, where modders totally lack commitment, yet don't want to gtfo of the scene and let others continue (you perfectly understand that nobody will continue their mod while TG is alive as it will cause a constant drama about thievery as it was with wesp5 and tessera - except none of the latter had fanboy army that will most likely flood your mod forum) and also lack something that will constantly kick them in the butt to make them do at least anything if they don't want to gtfo.

I wonder if we could persuade Drog to pick up the leak and put it together? It'd be nice to see TG's face if TSLRP gets the Drog treatment.

I'm just tired of the arguing because it wasn't going anywhere.

Most threads got deleted, however here are some remnants:

http://forums.team-gizka.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3764
check the 2nd post. Strange how you can't find the topics those fanboy is referring to, eh?

http://forums.team-gizka.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3788
from whiskeywolf's post incl. that quote of Dashus. Look how he and Windu twist the words. The topic also contained twice as more posts yesterday that actually suggested things - the topic was cleaned/modified to make it look like TG is right and locked.

There were more topics with bug reports/suggestions to help in the first two days after the leak. I can't find them now - though it is too late now obviously.
