qliveur said:Really? I thought it was because they get off by stringing people like you along. Their sadistic semi-annual cycle of hype makes this rather obvious to anyone capable of independent thought.
No; They've announced that 1.0b11 is coming soon and that afterwards, there are only 2 builds until public release. Just because you're arrogant & ignorant doesn't mean the rest of the world is.qliveur said:As it has been for the past two years. This latest publicity stunt only shows that nothing has changed, and that nothing is going to change in the foreseeable future.
qliveur said:And that number is shrinking daily, through no one's fault but theirs.
Nope; It wasn't meant as a guilt-trip, but as a statistic. I guess some people see things as they choose to see them.qliveur said:Ah, the guilt-trip attempt. I'm sorry, Ferc, but this is a case where repeated blue-balling lead to rape. Does the blue-balling justify the act of rape? Nope. Do we feel sorry for the victim, though? Well, I don't.
Wide-eyed child? I am an adult with experiences that you can't even begin to comprehend. As a modder, let me put this into terms that someone as ignorant as you can understand: What TG is doing is wonderful; Yes, wonderful as in good.qliveur said:Ferc, allow me to put this into terms that even a wide-eyed child such as yourself can understand: what T-G is doing is evil, yes, evil as in not good.
Oh, and you're going to find the T-G thread over at LucasForums has been deleted. Not locked, but deleted, so the hype machine no longer has a spotlight there, and I for one hope that it stays that way.
When presenting your estimated due date to the public, DON'T. You should never tell people before you have even begun work on a mod when you are planning to release it, no matter how much they beg to know, don't say anything. Giving a due date causes troubles, it gives the public a false sence of where you are standing mod wise(they will think you are almost done). And it will cause you to be obligated to rush your mod to get it out on the time you said. Rushing a mod is ALWAYS bad and prevents a successful completion because you almost always leave something out. So if someone asks just say, its done when its done.

Yes - first of all do a math, sheep - it was December 2004.Ferc Kast said:LA rushed TSL for a December 2005 release. As a result, many things got cut from the game. And, now, during Team Gizka's project to restore most of the cut content, people want to rush TSLRP's release? Irony 101, anyone?

For TG to give their mod to the public so that other modders will gain "legitimacy" to finish it. That's what I want.Smarts said:Question for all you people out there. What do you want?
- For the mod to be finished
or
- For the whole thing to go down in flames?

Since I got tired of waiting, and download and played several times the leaked version, I thought that not posting to thank you would have been more respectful towards you until you would have effectively released the mod.
Seeing as this 'joke' is to me just a confirmation of the fact you'll never release anything, I registered to tell you I'm not frustrated (since I have already played the leaked) or angry (it's was just a joke), just disappointed...you worked for years, and ppl will end playing a mod leaked from you...I think you could have released it long before now, got more credit, more thanks, more appreciation.
I saw many guys who said to check this site weekly, for years, and that is just sad, there is little effort in giving them informations about what will be done or not.
I do not want to make discussions about the fact some argue you are 'full of it' and such (I do not really care), this will be my first and last post, what I wanted to say, plainly, is that you managed the whole project in a very wrong way, and others will get credit for the fact the leaked version has, effectively, gave the fans a greater contribution than you, since you actually gave nothing.

But are you unwilling to now because of the "modder's code?" That's the question.scient said:If they do choose to pull the plug on the project and/or release the current version with no future updates, I'd be willing to work with some folks to finish the job.
Nope. Done both of those.Lesifoere said:Ah, I know. Necrophilia? Bestiality?
