LoL and Skyrim both are cRPGs. They both are shit (as in boring), so I am not going to bother qualifying one over another.
Stating inanities like dungeon-crawling is one of the fundamental rpg elements strokes my Kodexian e-peen faster than a cheap whore during bootcamp furloughs.
For the many people on the Kodex who still believe that dungeon-crawlers are the only viable definition of a cRPGs, have at least the intellectual integrity to update your lists with
all the games worth playing, even japanese games, even rogue-likes with functional, graphical UIs (gasp!), instead of the outdated, oldsk00l crap that you bringing back each time, and that no one wants to play anymore. Not saying 8 bits didn't have their charm in their time, but it would be time to slowly make it to 2012/3, wouldn't it ?
I only gave your rant a scan, so forgive me if I've misinterpreted you
You shouldn't be forgiven.
You should be banned as the manifest
of modern populations who have the
attention-span of their penises. Read
and analyze
before posting. Then only you should contribute with a rational and
constructive worthwhile answer, if you feel qualified enough.
I just can't bear to read dumb shit like "decline parameters are inherently relative".
As a matter of fact, they are.
As an example, 99,99% of the
will agree that DA2 is the (quint)essence of decline. For the remaining 0,01%, such a fact could be contested. Some will like the more streamlined skill tree about the game. Some others will like the more streamlined bromances... fuck that, I am not going to draw pictures to make it easier on dumbfucks like you. I feel like educating my younger nephews again.
To conclude, DraQ wins the thread, and hopefully we can avoid fueling another pointless "What is a RPG?" debate. If you really feel like it, contribute to
this one, way more constructive, instead.
