#1 Ehh, Imoen is not very neccesary in the pilot, nor does she have much content in the vanilla. But if you are going to try Imoen romance mod, you can have a lot fun with some of the more obnoxious choices to annoy her. And no 'OMG she is your sista how could you eww pervert burn in hell!!' stuff, aside from her only sharing a fracture of a dead god's taint/soul stuff, and thus not being a proper normal sister to player character, ie:Bhaal was assuming proper forms and bodies to sow his seed to different races, so I guess DNA structure and stuff should be vastly different for each time if you are into such unnecessary details for a frikkin' fantasy game/story. The mod is also NOT solely and disturbingly centered on the incestous sexual content, and has great stuff, tons of interaction&nice original cutscenes which fleshes out Imoen, her past, and personality and you can totally role play the caring brother/or total jerk. Imoen was planned to be killed off in Spellhold in the beginning script of BG2, but then was later added to the game near the end, so she has next to zero content post Spellhold SoA. So I guess it may be interesting for people to see the mod here.

#2 That would be great, I would like the compare content.

#3 Some stronghold quests are rather boring if you know them by heart. Definitely play fighter stronghold to the end, mods really improve the final fight in it. Also the mod which enhances Thief Stronghold is OK too, adding new content and old NPC acquantances way back from BG1. Other strongholds are fun first time around but offer little game play value.

its additions for the thief base itself were ok, but the additional quests were uniformly terrible as all involved excessive hack´n´slashery and not much else.
very unthievery and iirc, also quite buggy.

Rogue Rebalancing is all that´s needed to enhance rogue-y experience, imo.
plus, its special optional encounter is pretty awesome.

1. keep imoen if you plan on taking sarevok. their restored interactions after the Pocket Plane are very nearly the only interesting NPC babble in ToB.

2. might as well.

This might do for some pretty good LP dialogue stuff, and you won't even have to write it. Well, you'll have to transcribe it, but still.

1) I will drop Imoen. I have a vision of possible doing another LP with IA installed next year (or the year after whenever v5 comes out). I will use all the fun NPC mods then.

2)

edit: This build was screwed again. Went more basic and looks good so far.

3) I'll do them all.

You utilize the same mechanic against the monsters. You can quickload and not target the monster immune to your spells or effects.

The point of SCS is not only, not even perhaps, to make the monsters "smart", but to enable them to use the same tactics you do. In lieu of this, it is absolutely neccesary for them to understand which characters to target.

Your Helm of Protection Against Charm thus becomes a "the beholder will target other characters" instead of "the beholder will waste its turn and abilities on this character."

are you retarded? if you tell me you are, i'll go easy on you. if not, re-read my original complaint and see if you can find that part where a bad guy has to spend a round or two figuring out a particular PC might be immune or resistant as opposed to simply using typical AI metagaming. perhaps you reload every time a battle doesn't suit your OC needs, but i'm fine with imperfect fights as long as the AI can adapt, too.

the other part you missed is that it's very possible -- i'm doing it now -- to program adaptive AI that doesn't have to cheat and that it's been done before... and -- deep breath -- originally SCS/2 did the same thing but doesn't any longer. your "argument" seems to be countering Derp Tactics with Derp Tactics for the AI.

Is it your first playthru?
No? Then RTFM before installing shit you don't want to. It's working as intended. If you are not satisfied with it go ahead and make your own AI mod. Bitching about stuff like this on the Codex IS what's retarded.

I hope I will have an update ready this weekend.

I forgot how much dialogue there is in BG2 compared to BG1. I used about 2900 screen shots (not including portraits) for BG1. Before I had to start over I had 1800 shots from just the staring dungeon, the circus, some Harper stuff, and the fighters keep deal. It’s going to be interesting to see how many I end up using.

Right now I have played half of the dungeon over again (I’ve been busy) and am sitting at 300 shots.

Edit: Had to reinstall again. Went very basic this time. Looks good so far.

OK I have about 3000 pics ready to edit. BG2 is very chatty compared to BG1. I should have some updates this weekend for sure. This time I mean it.

What do people think about imprisonments? Is that the same as death or should I buy freedom scrolls?

Also we need some thieves and paladins in the recruitment pool.

BTW hoverdog – Halflings cannot be mage/thieves.

Personally, I'm all for using scrolls found for free to release imprisoned party members (same for death/resurrection), but against buying more of them and/or learning the spell permanently.

Mico Selva is a fighter/thief ready for service in the character pool :salute: . Unless he already died, of course.

Well I don't think you can find freedom scrolls until after Chapter 2 and with SCS installed there are all kinds of mages throwing around imprisonment.

We will roll with it though.

If it's that bad, maybe You should consider releasing them with a prepared spell after all. I don't know what the collective will say, but I wouldn't mind if You got one 9th level spell blocked for this sort of precaution ;)
I would mind coming back to release imprisoned party members after a rest to prepare the spell or after finding a scroll, if You didn't have one during the fight.

EDIT: grammar.

That spell is totally broken (as ignores saves, level, HP, ...) and the only counter measure is the freedom spell. I say go all for it. Free imprisoned people after the fight has been won. I don't see that like resurrection at all.

I hope you start using the berserker rage more often though..
