Why waste time barricading the house and attracting zombies this way? I think it's better to barricade the store because it will provide us better items. Better use the manpower to investigate.

Honestly just don't bother barricading.

things get worst later, just keep moving scavenging supplies.

I don't think that will work out with no one who can make traps and no weapons, but investigating stores is the most important thing right now anyway so I guess I'll do that.

Probably everyone else should too since there's not much else to do and no point to stay in this house if it's not barricaded or trapped. Maybe someone search one hour just to make sure there's no clue, then see if something we investigate looks like a likely place to hole up.

I'm also wondering if it'd be possible to create Mods for the game...

Yup, the creators encourage that sort of thing. You just have to know C# to do it.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
In fact, even without any technical know-how you can just unzip the Data.zip file and modify career names and other easy cosmetic stuff like that.
UUUUwut
Thanks, that's enough for me! I'm probably gonna buy this game now.

Upupupupu... What do we have here? The first turn hasn't even started, and we're fighting already? At this rate I'm probably going to split up the group and have everybody just do their own thing; you guys seem completely incapable of cooperation and compromise, after all :troll:

One of the creators also said that at some point they'll probably be releasing some information on what the career variables actually do, so it's probably worth keeping an eye on their blog and forum for updates.

I don't really mind, but right now I think we should make either one of the houses NW or centre S our goal (since they're more central to specific shit like Police, Hospital, stores, etc.). NW looks good.

In the immediate, I think we should finish search this house with one character, and with maybe Dick and one other, go exploring (assault or breach) the store next door. That will give us some base starting supplies to get going and hopefully some guns. Then later we should aim for those housies in the NW, or the hotel.

Let's Play Zafehouse: Diaries
Why can't we just get along?

EqqlM.jpg

Morkar and Yuri want to breach towards the NW; Moribund wants to investigate the shops. I combined those two strategies by having Dick and Yugo breach the shop right next to the starting point, slowly making their way towards the shop in the NW corner, while Moribund investigates the shop in the south. I put Uta on shop investigation duty too, since he's pretty useless anyway. Let's see how not working together works out, eh?

Moribund's back! That was fast. Since he thinks investigating the shops is the most important thing right now, I send him to investigate the NW shop even though our main group is going to reach it eventually anyway. :troll:

The rest continue breaching.

And Uta the useless librarian finds our first rescue clue! Too bad everybody's opposed to working together and are split up in different places, otherwise we would've gotten a free boost to everybody's relationships. What an excellent waste of a good rescue clue.

The following are your current positions and supplies:

I finished breaching all the houses in the NW, and we're right next to the shop in the corner. Based on Mori's investigation, would you like to continue breaching it? Or do something else?

Mori's alone searching the shop next to the starting point.

Here's our new relationship chart.

Is that comment about "Yugo being able to hold everyone together" for real, or just flavour? I'm curious if it has any ingame effects.

It's just means that Yugo has the best overall relationships, while Alicia has the worst. Hence me trying to fix Alicia's relationships first.

Also...

BAD NEWS

When I tried to save the game just now, it fucking crashed on me. :x Man, and I thought the recent patch was supposed to fix stability uses like this! Goddamnit what kind of developer releases a broken game :rage:And now I can't continue our lovely adventure of making friends with zombies and feeding them our brains!

What to do, guys? At this point I don't see any other choice but to start a new game...

Well it was hardly that far in. Also I didn't intend to stay alone and don't know why you sent me to breach alone, I just wanted to investigate the stores first. How was plan supposedly to breach anything, anyway? None of this came from anything we said.

When you redo me, make me an engineer this time I guess.

Well, no problem for prioritizing new people. New fags gotta have to go first & taste how it feels to be raped by zombies

This explicitly tells me to breach the store next door, followed by the houses in the northwest. Morkar supports this decision.

investigating stores is the most important thing right now anyway so I guess I'll do that.

edit: well, whatever. Do what you want then  I'll go investigate store in NW corner by myself, be back in a few hours.
You say that you want to investigate stores by yourself. Twice.
Don't blame me for doing exactly what you said:troll:

New map and new supplies, woot!

Also, new relationships!

I edited the post with all your abilities earlier, just because they were pretty much the same except for Moribund who's now an engineer. You have someone who can actually modify stuff now!

As usual, vote, discuss, try to come to some sort of consensus because if you don't I'm just going to pick and choose which suggestions to use. The results won't necessarily be pretty as we just saw in that aborted run.

I never said to breach anything, or that I wanted to permanently split up the party. You kind of just went nuts breaching multiple places when only one guy mentioned anything about it at all and no one else agreed.

:troll:

If you were actually following the discussion, you'll notice that it was a two to one split in favor of breaching the store and then the NW houses. If I was less accommodating, I would have simply ignored your suggestions and have you breach along with everybody else. But nooooo you kept saying investigate the shops, investigate the shops, I'm gonna investigate the shops by myself and you other guys do whatever and now that I let you do it, you get all hissy little princess on my ass?

:excellent:

Really, Moribund, it's fine if you want to do your own thing. I'm completely fine letting you do whatever your little heart desires~ In fact, it might even be more entertaining that way. Just don't expect other people to play along, that's all. :balance:

To recap, if you all don't manage to come to a something resembling a consensus, I'm going to pick and choose the suggestions that I like and assemble them into a coherent game plan. If you don't like that, kindly GTFO.

Well, I didn't want to breach multilple places, in my first post I said I couldn't participate in every vote so I was talking long-term strategy.

Anyway, new game, so:

That store in the middle east section of the map near the police station looks like a good operational base, since it's central to everything. I vote for the same again:

Finish searching this location, either investigate some of the nearby houses (breach if necessary) get some supplies, then either head for that store between factory and police station OR we could start by breaching those three nearby stores and work our way further SE later.

For the IMMEDIATE movement: Dick and Yugo again breach the store just north of our position, and then if they have time, perhaps the house to its left. Use assault/breach or investigate/breach tactics as before. We could stay in this house tonight if we trap it up.

Investigating the kindergarten/children's school might not be a bad idea later in the day to check for clues.

Oh lol, I totally misunderstood you! In that case, I apologize :P

That's cool, bro. Your misunderstanding actually seemed to do quite a lot of good for the team in finding a very useful clue early. If not for the corruption, we could've made clearing the church an early goal, or we would've known that it was the main location to clear when necessary.

Hopefully we get lucky again. By the way, didn't Dick and Yugo have better relations? What happened in the new game?

Prejudices are randomly assigned whenever a new game starts. In this game, Dick just happened to have more prejudices towards/be the target of prejudice for more people, that's all. Hang on, I'll get screenshots of the new profiles for everybody so you know what their new prejudices are. Moribund's profile is in the previous post, so I won't add it here.

Let's completely search the house and the shop north. If time is runnig low we can barricade/make traps before take on the other buildings. Otherwise we could take another house till it gets around 14:00.
Longtermwise we could proceed to the bank and from there taggle the police station and the other buildings around there.

Basically I'm conform with Yuri.
