Secret Military Union, match day 3, first half

boreale.jpg
We meet again, battle bruvas. Another glorious day when the ENEMY will taste DEFF AND DEFEHT.

BB0194.jpg

Our adversary today are Muscle Daddies, coach Drogg's porn daemons.

boreale.jpg
Sup, drogg

Khorne daemons make for a rather silly team, especially at very low levels. All of their players, except for bloodletters, have frenzy, which makes them always follow up blocks, and block again if the result is a push. This means that if you are not a tactical genius (CREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED) that can employ this to a good end, you should probably stay the fuck away from this team. The highlights are definitely all the daemons, which have horns+juggernaut, which makes them hella scary blitzers, as well as the Bloodthirster, as it starts with claw.

Fortunately, this team is still seriously underdeveloped, having only 1 dodge and 3 blocks. But the bad news is that Block is very much a hard-counter to their inexperienced Frenzy shenanigans, but we are missing two important block players for this match - General Motors the thrower and Major Glory the blitzer.

boreale.jpg
Heed this briefing, brothers. The enemy is not to be underestimated, despite their treacherous wehs. Should any of you have any doubts concerning our GRORIOUS VICTOREH, say it now, before the cleansing begins...

carron.jpg
DAEMONS WILL APPEAR FROM THE WARP WHEN YOUR BACK IS TURNED

borealemad.jpg
THE SEHVANTS OF PORN CANNOT WITHSTAND OUR RIGHTEOUS MIGHT.

BB0195.jpg

Being one-player down from 11, we get a merc lino.

BB0196.jpg

BB0198.jpg

BB0199.jpg

Always bet on tails.

BB0200.jpg

We'll try to receive and go for a quick score.

BB0201.jpg

The plan is as follows: bash the linos' heads in, then proceed through both flanks with catchers, blitzing any juicy av7 bloodletters along the way, and marking everything possible.

It seemed like a good plan until...

carron.jpg
DAEMONS HAVE APPEARED FROM THE WARP

BB0202.jpg

BB0203.jpg

BY THE EMPRAH, THIS CANNOT BE

This completely fucked up my early offensive plan because I was down 3 key dudes already at the damn beginning (guard blitzer, blitzer, guard ogre), and had to relocate dudes just to bash the LoS.

Still,

BB0204.jpg

BB0206.jpg

All the pit fighters on the line are down (one stunned), and the ball is ours. And this was my first big derp because it left a catcher and the thrower way too easily marked.

Turnover

BB0207.jpg

Loner lino hits the dirt.

BB0208.jpg

Corporal Punishment the catcher gets marked, more daemons move along the left.

BB0209.jpg

:troll:

BB0210.jpg

:troll:

Private Capacity evades frenzy.

BB0211.jpg

Major Surgery gets blitzed by the bloodthirster...

BB0212.jpg

Fortunately non-fatally, but the greater daemon then marks the thrower.

Turnover.

BB0213.jpg

There is an opening here in the middle, but it'll require sum minor funky stuff.

BB0215.jpg

Corporal Cloth 1-d blitzes a cultist. All he needs is a push.

BB0216.jpg

But manages to knock him down. Good, then General Specific will need a dodge + pass. Fortunately, with his AG4 he is, for all intents and purposes, an elf.

BB0218.jpg

Which means he succeeds
dog.png

BB0219.jpg

Last, 2nd catcher dodges away from a marker.

Turnover

BB0221.jpg

The enemy coach begins with a 1-D frenzied block with no block...

boreale.jpg
So bold and so foolish.

BB0222.jpg

INTO ANOTHER 1-D PUSH EFFECTIVELY SURFING PRIVATE CAPACITY INTO THE CROWD :rage:

BB0223.jpg

borealemad.jpg
NO! FUREH!

BB0224.jpg

Major Key is the next one to get downed.

BB0225.jpg

And then comes the dodger-blitzer herald...

BB0226.jpg

borealehappy.jpg

That's his first reroll. Rerolls are more than worth their weight in gold for Khorne daemons.

BB0227.jpg

borealemad.jpg

BB0229.jpg

AND OF COURSE THE FUCKING THING PICKS UP THE BALL WHEN FOLLOWING UP THE BLOCK :rage:

BB0231.jpg

Turn ends as another lino on the right gets downed, while a cultist fails a doge out of the ogre's loving embrace.

The bloodthirster pisses me off because it's so fat it keeps hiding dudes behind it.

BB0233.jpg

A bunch of humans get close to the ball carrier, and a cultist is smacked down by General Specific.

BB0234.jpg

Corporal Punishment goes forth as a possible future pass target.

Turnover

BB0237.jpg

:troll:

A shame it's the one blocker cultist.

BB0238.jpg

borealehappy.jpg

BB0239.jpg

Major Surgery is down, but there goes drogg's second reroll. I double dare you to try any frenzy foolishness now.

BB0240.jpg

Well, shit. The herald dodges out

BB0242.jpg

And blitzes Major Key out of the field :rage:

BB0244.jpg

Finally, the Bloodthirster gets a luckerfag 1-D frenzy :x

Turnover.

BB0245.jpg

This is not looking very good. Most of our battle brothers are stationed away from the carrier

BB0246.jpg

And the only thing we can do is blitz a cultist to mark the herald.

BB0248.jpg

And get Major Minor to the scene as well. In retrospect, I probably should have done a GFI here.

BB0250.jpg

Panzerkampfwagen Ogre stuns a cultist under his iron treads. Turnover

BB0251.jpg

:rage:

BB0252.jpg

borealemad.jpg
No, NO! WE HAVE FEHLED!

BB0254.jpg

borealemad.jpg
BUT WE SHALL NOT FEHL!

Cloth will move in to assist with doge + gfi. Then loner lino will try a doge + 2d blitz. Hardly a friggin optimal choice but you gotta improvise at times.

BB0255.jpg

boreale.jpg
no... we have... fehled...

BB0256.jpg

borealesad.jpg
... the emprah

Turnover. He's probably gonna score now...

BB0257.jpg

But what the fuck, he doesn't

Zeb Atlas the BT gets trolled by General Specific, AND HE AINT GOT ANY REROLLS LEFT

BB0258.jpg

boreale.jpg
This is our chance for redemption bruvas. STRIKE 'ARD!

BB0259.jpg

...

REROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLL

BB0260.jpg

Loner'd.

borealesad.jpg

BB0261.jpg

The less said about this last turn the better because it was the hardest derp in this match for me. I completely forgot that I could do the same doge+blitz with an actual BLITZER standing right next to the loner lino. But I forgot about him completely because he was down the previous turn, and my brian was under much tension ;_;

BUT NEVERMIND

THERE ARE STILL MANY TURNS LEFT FOR RETRIBUTION

BB0262.jpg

Lino is still badly hurt, but who cares about linos. The other two KO'd dudes get back up.

BB0263.jpg

:outrage:

BB0264.jpg

We've got two turns to score. This will require some risky shits, but it's very much achievable.

Especially since suddenly...

The sky has suddenly turned black, as battle barges of the Astartes have covered the planet.

BB0265.jpg

And multiple, simultaneous and devastating defensive deep strikes have started hitting the pitch.

BB0266.jpg

Unfortunately, two stray drop pods also stunned the ogre and Corporal Cloth, but they also eliminated four of his dudes, creating a vital opening!

borealehappy.jpg
The Codex Astartes names this manoeuvre STEEL REHN

Thanks, Boreale :yeah:

BB0267.jpg

Lino cultist is knocked down, after which Major Key pushes a bloodletter away in a blitz.

BB0268.jpg

General Specific picks up the ball

BB0269.jpg

And hands it off to Corporal Punishment

BB0270.jpg

Who runs the fuck away, while Private Industry marks a pit fighter.

BB0272.jpg

Two more linos move in to provide vital tackle zones.

borealemad.jpg
WE ARE THE SPEHS MAHRINES! AND WE SHALL NOT FALTER!

Turnover!! @____@

BB0274.jpg

Merc lino escapes certain deff as the Bloodthirster gets wild animal'd

Also, he was too COWARDLY! to try and blitz Corporal Punishment with the marked pit fighter. Only placed him close for marking.

carron.jpg
THE COWARDS! THE FEWLS!

BB0275.jpg

Bloodletter only gets a push!

BB0276.jpg

And finally, the herald attempts a blitz through three (3!) dodges and DROPS ON HIS FEHS!

borealehappy.jpg
So bold and so foolish!

TURNOVEEEEEEEEEER

BB0277.jpg

BB0278.jpg

BB0279.jpg

:yeah:

That's a 1:1 draw. No changes in the dugouts because there was no one there to get up.

BB0282.jpg

Final turn for los-bashing purposes. Allow me to sacrifice sum linos to Khorne.

WHEN SUDDENLY!

BB0283.jpg

BB0284.jpg

This was a hilarious moment actually because I just took all the linos away to the back.

BB0285.jpg

Not quite realising it doesn't quite work that way, and I got three random dudes placed in random los places....

The bad news was that they turned out to be a thrower, a blitzer and a lino :troll:

Roxorowski: perfect defence
R.K XLVII: AHAHAHAH
Roxorowski: left me
Roxorowski: confus
Roxorowski: :m
R.K XLVII: oh god
R.K XLVII: he must be thinking
R.K XLVII: wtf is this guy
R.K XLVII: it must be a trap

BB0286.jpg

Lino and thrower go down without injuries.

BB0287.jpg

BUT THEN MAJOR SURGERY IS KO'D :rage:

BB0288.jpg

And finally he attempted a foul on General Specific, only to have a cultist sent away with a red card, inflicting just a stun!

HALF-TIME!

BB0289.jpg

Fortunately, Major Surgery gets up no-problem. Woulda been a serious fuck up if that "perfect defence" left me with a worse state than default.

BB0290.jpg

Still, even with that one dude sent away, we are 1 down because of our badly hurt lino, and his 1 pit fighter sub.

boreale.jpg
On alert, brothers. There is more valiant struggle yet to come.

Secret Military Union, match day 3, second half

BB0290.jpg

This time the Secret Military Union is kicking, and opts to set up very close to the line of scrimmage to provide aggression and possible frenzy-trolls with the second line of dudes up front.

BB0291.jpg

A generic kick. I'd rather not risk the enemy getting a free hand-off, although I have no doubt in our swift victory. As you know...

boreale.jpg
Most of our battle brothers are stationed in SPESS

BB0292.jpg

borealehappy.jpg
PREPARED TO DEEP STRIKE!

BB0293.jpg

carron.jpg
MY SPLEEEEEEEEEN

That's right. This was the third pitch invasion in this damn game. But this time it's left ALL of our players intact, while stunning five of his :troll:

BB0294.jpg

An accurate observation. Also, the following few turns were pretty damn frantic which also, unfortunately, had its toll on the pic taking.

BB0295.jpg

Muscle Daddies can't possibly hope to do any good offensive right now, the coach withdraws the herald back for the ball.

After that, two linos get knocked down, the Bloodthirster gets wild animal'd. Turnover

BB0296.jpg

We send everyone ahead and proceed to make great use of the steel rain. Major Minor only gets a push, though.

BB0297.jpg

Majors Key and Surgery, however, get two successful knockdowns on the right.

Turnover.

BB0298.jpg

Drogg picks up the ball with one of the formerly-downed Bloodletters, and then takes the Khorne Herald back to the LoS. One might wonder why he bothered retreating the Herald in the first place if that is the case.

Not much happened after that - Corporal Punishment got blitzed by a pit fighter and sent to the border of the pitch, and Smasha the Merc Lino got badly hurt somewhere in the clusterfuck. No big deal.

BB0299.jpg

First thing in our turn - putting the ogre right in the centre of three dudes. Have fun out there, boyz. Still, our priority should be rescuing Corporal Punishment from certain surfing.

BB0301.jpg

Major Surgery gets a push on the marking pit fighter, and the catcher is free to doge out.

BB0302.jpg

And he does just that

BB0303.jpg

Corporal Cloth infiltrates deep inside enemy territory to exact pressure on the ball.

BB0304.jpg

General Specific does the same, dodging right under the nose of the pit fighter.

Turnover

BB0306.jpg

The bloodletter carrier runs by and hands over the ball to the second one, which then escapes down the field to the left.

BB0307.jpg

Then we have a point blank blitz with the bloodthirster on a lino. Why? Don't ask me.

After that, unfortunately offscreen, the doge Herald on the right tries to doge away from the ogre. But instead he trips and stuns himself

borealehappy.jpg
So bold and so foolish!

Turnover

BB0308.jpg

There's a ripe bloodletter here. Both catchers mark him

BB0309.jpg

And then Major Surgery is called to the operating theatre :smug:

Although he'll need to do 2 GFIs, and we all know how those tend to work.

boreale.jpg
I fear no evil. FOR AH AM...

BB0310.jpg

borealemad.jpg
HOLY SHIT!

REROOOOOOOOOOOOLL

BB0311.jpg

borealehappy.jpg

BB0312.jpg

*SLAM!*

BB0313.jpg

The bloodletter is out, and as the Emprah would have it, Corporal Punishment snatches the ball from the scatter.

BB0315.jpg

:troll:

Nuffle giveth and Nuffle taketh away

BB0316.jpg

And a stun at the end of the turn.

BB0318.jpg

The enemy doesn't keep us waiting, first taking down Private Industry in a remarkably weird 1-D block.

BB0319.jpg

There goes Pvt Industry. Shrug.

Also - after whining all the time about the Bloodthirster continuously wasting blitzes with wild animal, what is the logical next move?

BB0320.jpg

Ordering to waste a blitz AGAIN!

boreale.jpg
Is that what passes for FUREH among your misbegotten kind?

BB0321.jpg

The turn ends with a nullified block here

BB0322.jpg

And then a failed doge from a pit fighter on the right side.

BB0323.jpg

All these failed doges give us remarkably much breathing space, which is first used by knocking out this herald.

BB0324.jpg

BB0326.jpg

General Specific then marks the bloodletter.

BB0327.jpg

While Corporal Punishment GTFOs.

BB0328.jpg

With two GFIs!

(also, don't ask me why I didn't just hand off to the thrower and let him run away instead. Maybe it's the inborn fear of ag3)

BB0329.jpg

Corporal Cloth follows suit.

BB0332.jpg

While Private Public marks the only cultist that could still pose a threat.

BB0333.jpg

Hnnnggg. Reroll. It's not a vital block, but I'd still rather not risk it atm.

Two pit fighters go down as the turn ends.

BB0335.jpg

Oh noez, he's gonna try to britz with the marked/downed herald on the left!

BB0336.jpg

borealehappy.jpg
OOPS

BB0337.jpg

Cpl Punishment gtfos to safety.

BB0340.jpg

While we blitz a few more khornates and laugh at the enemy's dwindling morale.

BB0341.jpg

Only a push, but it'll do.

BB0342.jpg

SLAM!

BB0343.jpg

SLAAAM!

BB0344.jpg

HNNNGGGG

That's the last reroll going on a useless block. But it's k, I can afford it. Because...

BB0346.jpg

Fortune say: There is much win in future.

BB0347.jpg

What do you know, another blitz wasted by the bloodthirster going wild.

GAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

BB0348.jpg

Cpl Cloth is taken down, but not hurt.

BB0349.jpg

Same with Pvt Public.

BB0350.jpg

And finally, in a majestic display of doge, another pit fighter KOs himself.

BB0351.jpg

The time is nigh.

boreale.jpg
We are the spehs mahrines!

BB0352.jpg

borealemad.jpg
WE ARE THE EMPRAH'S FUREH!

BB0353.jpg

Two badly hurt linos, another KO'd getting up.

BB0354.jpg

His sole KO'd cultist got up too.

BB0355.jpg

boreale.jpg
Todeh the enemeh is at our door.

But there are only 2 turns left, so there's no way in hell he can score, barring some hilarious disaster.

Maybe we'll get another pitch invasion! :troll:

BB0357.jpg

Nope, just a reroll for the daemons. No biggie.

BB0358.jpg

But then a bad thing happens and the ball goes out of bounds.

The enemy coach decides to give it to... THE BLOODTHIRSTER?!

boreale.jpg
O_______________________________________o

Our linos are down, but not out.

BB0362.jpg

Then the BT blitzes the ogre :troll:

But he changes the both down to a push!

BB0363.jpg

Which then changes into a luckerfag success on frenzy :rage:

BB0364.jpg

The daemon rushes down the pitch

BB0365.jpg

And soon an actual cage appears around it.

Uh-oh...

Well, the Bloodthirster would either need to hand off at AG1 to something, or rush to the touchdown line with 2 GFIs. The odds of that succeeding? Insanely low. BUT THIS IS BLOOD BOWL, AND INSANELY LOW ODDS ARE ALWAYS THE MOST LIKELY.

BB0367.jpg

We set up 2 markers at each possible hand-off target and blitz inside the cage.

BB0369.jpg

Unfortunately, the blitz only ends in a push. But the daemon is marked, it'll have to do.

BB0371.jpg

Major Key is first taken down by a pit fighter.

BB0372.jpg

And then comes the BT blitz...

BB0373.jpg

AGAINST THE THROWER??????

BB0374.jpg

borealemad.jpg

BB0375.jpg

Frenzy KOs General Specific.

BB0376.jpg

But now the Bloodthirster is in a place where he'll need to dodge out from. This might not have been the case if he wasted the catcher on the left instead.

And he needs to dodge out with AG1. And one reroll. And loner.

boreale.jpg
So bold...

BB0377.jpg

BT.jpg
:rage: :rage: :rage:

BB0378.jpg

borealehappy.jpg
... and so foolish!

I must admit I felt a little sad that didn't work because crazy shit like that is always hilarious to watch.

BB0380.jpg

I try to doge my dudes out to foul the BT, but Major Surgery fucks up his roll.

BB0381.jpg

BB0382.jpg

AND WE ARE VICTORIOUS!

BB0383.jpg

Hnnng, yes plz.

BB0384.jpg

HNNNGGGGGG

BB0385.jpg

So, there we have it folks. Seven tackles sustained, lulz :troll:

BB0386.jpg

Private Public gets a level-up MVP.

BB0387.jpg

While the enemy MVP is the pit fighter that got sent off after a foul.

BB0388.jpg

Also, this game has made me realise that, for a human team, my roster is definitely not filled enough with sub-linos. So meet player #13, Private Property. Private Public used his level-up to get kick.

BB0389.jpg

Corporal Punishment also FINALLY got his 2nd level-up, taking block for great justice.

Final match stats:

2q3ysk2.jpg

And Commander Boreale's final thoughts:

boreale.jpg
The Porn Daemons coach was too bold and too foolish. Indeed, he might have capitalised on our team's mistakes in the first half, and, indeed, the two pitch invasions might have put huge spanners in his plans, but wasting blitzes all the time on point-blank, no-movement blitzes with the bloodthirster, 3/4 of which didn't even work, and then whining about bad luck was shortsighted to say the least. And let us not mention the level of absurdity concerning giving a free ball to the damn thing and attempting a 2-turn-touchdown with possible dodges. The humans might have been lucky in critical situations (especially the pitch invasion at the end of the first half), but it was the coach's blind fascination with the Bloodthirster, coupled with a few questionable dodges, that eventually lost him the game in the second half. Until next time, battle bruvas!

And next time is actually going to be against khorne daemons, too. However, supposedly that team's coach is much better, but his team is less developed than this one. And undeveloped, no-block bash teams like Chaos/Khorne don't quite cut it...

Good game RK, but you might want to look into your high mortality rate there. It's a dangerous job, playing for coach RK

That was a brilliant game Roxor. Never seen three invasions in a single matchup.
And to be fair to him, the odds of wild animal are pretty low when blocking/blitzing. But yeah, if the block is there already, why do you insist on burning blitzes?

hand off at AG1 to something,

Handoff is a passing move that requires no AG check to the thrower. Only the catcher needs to roll AG and is considered always an accurate pass.

Juggernaut.
Indeed, khorne daemons should be using their big guy to blitz for this very reason. But they should not be putting him on the los because can't reach any important players from there.

Using him as a ball carrier is even more lulzy, considering he's wild animal.
Gutsy, yes, but still bold and foolish.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Handing off with the Bloodletter only requires 4+ for Wild animal indeed, no Ag roll for the player handing the ball off. It is still not very likely to succeed.

Can make it a 2+ if you waste the blitz I think(as long as you don't actually block).

I think you cannot hand off after a blitz.
Exact, you can't.
I stopped playing Cyanides (don't have the Chaos edition, only LE) for Fumbbl and i must say the Khorne team is really nice, especially the Big guy.

I'm thinking about going to FUMBBL too, as Cyanide is not that suited to my situation (not being able to resume a match after it is interrupted by my daughter is a big issue, as is finding people in timezones close to me). How is FUMBBL's implementation compared to Cyanide's?

Fumbbl advertising below.
I would say Fumbbl community is the equivalent of the Codex ;)
For them Cyanides' player are the popamoler who are graphics whore , they are the decline hehe.
It's really an accurate and very good analogy, the forum tone is harsh and hardcore too (site has also a "bad" reputation for that).

The ruleset is better implemented (not that he was badly implemented in Cyanides who just have very minor rule things wrong) and you have 2 main divisions.
Rank (free challenge using the "gamefinder", a nice interface) and BlackBox (random math up based in TV, almost the same thing that Nag except the draw are done every 15min).
You are not allowed to concede unless emergency/truly awful dicing in the main division (in 130 games i experienced only 1 concession) and you can reconnect all the time so 99% of games played are played until the end.
You are able to resume a game, you can in chat tell your opponent to wait because you have to check for your daughter (happened a few times) BUT you are supposed to be able to finish a game you have started without too much interruption (no much more than 5 min total i would say, no specific rule)
I only played FOL in Cyanides version and i only play Blackbox on Fumbbl, easier for me at to get game in Fumbbl but i guess it depends the timezone too.

All games are 4 min/turn on Fumbbl, i only played 2min/turn in Cyanides.
I learned to like 4min better i must say, especially since the lack of animation make the game faster that it would be on Cyanides (if you select 4min/turn, not 2min)
The in game interface is very good, but it was also very good for me on Cyanides.
You have a better vision of the pitch on Fumbbl though (you see all the time the complete pitch and it's perfectly clear)

Graphics are extremly simple, with only two stances for animation (standing and moving) so it's very basic but quite "nice".
Thing is after 2/3 games I completely forgot about Cyanides graphics/animation and did not miss them (well until just now after reading/watching screenshot of Cyanides after such a long time, a little shock hehe)
Sound (no music) is minimalist, nothing special but very well made (love the injury/death sound).
A great feature i thought nothing about at the beginning is that you can "spec" games in live (not replay but currently playing), that's really great because then you can chat with the other spectators, make the game produce a sound (you can boo, laugh, stomp for example), and relax or when you don't have enough time for a game it's nice too.

I played BB on Cyanides first (i knew the tabletop before) but next started to play on Fumbbl because i wanted to play Pact/Slann.
I stayed for the better interface (not in-game but out-game interface like the ability to write a bio for your team and even for each player, better stats, your past player are also recorded, the posiibilty to spec game live etc...).
The top coaches are also better IMO, the audience more mature (lot of father like you), i did not find the average level much better though (but as i said i played FOL only who was certainly a little above other Cyanide open league)

Played a game with Roxor in CDS league.
Was a funny game where I realized it's going to be hard to break dwarf AV9 armor. Only a few pieces are actually AV8 - and they're not really breaking that easily.
Chose to receive - and got rewarded with a crowd invasion - Roxor lost a lot of his lino and players, while I only lost a thro-ra, Blitz-ra made no mistake in pick up and we ground them with a nice neat cage to make it 1-0 at turn 8.
We scored a Badly Hurt on a lino but that's it basically while his players has a way with knocking out a Tomb Guardian. I also was impressed with his Troll Slayer's Dauntless working the dice on his favor.
Next kick off by Roxor grants each of us a bribe, but really - there was nothing the foul could do against our high AV team. Roxor tried his luck against a few skeletons and a Blitz-Ra but nothing going so did I on a blocker.

Second half - Roxor managed to break away with his runner - cause I consider a draw as a victory for Khemri. But I decided to go scare him a bit, as he marked a lone Blitz Ra with a Troll Slayer, I dodged out with AG2 and blitzed down the runner. Didn't need a reroll on both the dodge and 1D block to score a down. Ball went off field - but the crowd threw it too close to the center of the zone.
Only one skeleton can reach it, but he's marked by the Troll Slayer. Fuck it. I dodged out - successfully. Went to pick up - fail. Used a reroll. Succeeded.
Now comes the hard part - I knew I was going to be blitzed next turn - so I tried a long pass. Fumbled and that was the tying TD on next turn.

With a draw game a foregone conclusion we decided to just foul the fuck out of each other.
Roxor had a scare with one of Broken Back injury on final turn - but managed to recover with apothecary.
That's 2 SPP for Mighty Blow Blitzer. Who needs another 3 more to get his second skill.

I hear Roxor scored a double on his runner and blitzer.
Grats. That's two Dodger in a team full of Block.

CDS - Khemri vs Vampire
I always disliked the Vampire teams because even the best plan can be undone by the Bloodlust. Although people say with careful planning and thrall-insurance it can be overcome I still don't like relying on a bunch of AV7 as insurance. Is it worth it to field up to 6 players with ST & AG 4 with a caveat they can injure your own teammate or be sent off when making a move?

I don't think so.

My Khemri chose to receive and got an easy pick due to the ball going off field I ran out of time to decide who to get it, game decides my Mighty Blow TG should get it, what a stupid idea. A rock hits my Block Tomb Guardian but didn't hurt him, just a stun on kick off - as I started the 2D block spams on the Vampires, they just kept getting stunned over and over.

Modus operandi is simple - hit all the thralls down with the Mighty Blow Blitzer - while dancing the ball to the TD zone, ensuring TD at turn 8. My Tomb Guardian is enjoying a nice trip to TD zone when a Vampire and Thrall attempted to dispossess him. They succeeded, but were trapped in a corner with the ball in the Vampire's hand. I told the Tomb Guardian to wake up and Blitz, crowdsurfing the Vampire with the ball. Ball went out and my Thro-Ra managed a pick up to score. 1-0 right at Turn 8.

Second half - the Vampires can't seem to get their cage to work. We outbashed them, Bloodlust were triggering, eating up their rerolls, eventually they had to settle with half a cage and try a breakaway. But the MA6 isn't going to help much in putting distance. One go for it from the skeleton - and the Blitz got itself a 2D block. Ball dropped out of bounds and crowd-thrown near my TD zone. I got a thro-ra to pick it up as the Vampires lay down on the field, unwilling to get bashed again. Deciding to not foul and make a TD play, I was surprised when the Thro-Ra did not fail its pick-up. Finally I decided to tempt fate and make a 5+ Pass to a free Rookie Blitz-Ra who made no mistake in receiving the perfect pass at 4+!

Sometimes you just gotta believe.

Grinning like an idiot I made my way through the field, stretching it with 1 GFI and got the 2nd TD in to ensure a win.
All in all, it just further convinces me the Vampire is extremely unreliable and is not worth the frustration. I'd take a halfling team over it any day. Final score 2-0

I rolled AG+ Skeleton from this game.
I might just take it.
And Thro-Ra hit level 3. Should open up a new options for the team when receiving.

CDS - Khemri vs Humans
Had to pick between Mangoose's humans 1100 TV or Chaos 1000 TV here. I feel non-skilled Chaos don't really have a fair shot against 1400TV Khemri while humans have basic skills to make things happen.

Strangely, Mangoose opted to kick instead of receiving upon winning the coin toss. This is quite suicidal against Tomb Guardians and Mighty Blow loaded 2D Blocks, but I will accept the gifts and apply punches and bash as needed.

The first drive, I made a few mistake that allowed Mangoose to get some 1D block on my ball carrier. I was too greedy on the crowd surfing and forgot I had no guard to apply tackle zones when needed. It nearly ended in disaster when he KO'ed my Thro-Ra, thankfully the AG3 Skeleton came to the rescue with no reroll pick up. Needed a player chain push to get him to 2GFI position - not to mention Dodge out to No TZ, burned our last reroll and he made the two giant steps to make it 1-0 on the 8th turn.

Second drive, Mangoose made a slight error in letting his catcher go at it alone - next turn he was crowdsurfed and died, despite the apothecary's attempt to rescue him.

Goodbye and Goodnight

I caged the ball and Dark Magician does his magic to run the ball in for 2-0 as the rest of the Humans squad take a pounding from the TG and Blitz-Ra tag teams.
