This is a really hard match up for new Human teams. Power teams like orks can really pile the hurt.
If the armor don't hold, you're fucked. And trying to dodge with AG3 doesn't work that often.
My advice? Don't field catchers.

01.jpg

Absalom's ork broke thought the left easily, caging with Black Orks. I wasn't aiming to stop him anyway.
I wanted to injure his squad at least. I was down 1 to casualty and 1 to KO.

02.jpg

As he advances forward, I noticed he didn't reform the cage, preferring to bash before ending the turn.

03.jpg

I dunno why he did this. It was my best chance to stop the TD. St. James whispered a silent prayer and call upon His name before going no a blitz.

04.jpg

Thrower has block. It's gotta be a push or defender down or stumble. One dice.

05.jpg

Thank god.

06.jpg

Crowd throws ball back in, looks like we can get it...

07.jpg

Matthew needs a little risk... but I'm sure with Team reroll to spare we can manage +2 rolls.

08.jpg

09.jpg

Makes the first GFI! And...

10.jpg

Good. Phew. Not gonna risk a pass or anything.

11.jpg

Bart punches out a black ork. I only got a stun out of it. When suddenly...

12.jpg

bloodbowl.png

Oh. :butthurt:

It is human nature to seek culpability in a time of tragedy.

It is a sign of strength to cry out against fate, rather than to bow one's head and succumb.

Inevitably many will fault the hands upon the dice which felled Galdar, the Orc Thrower. But the coach merely performs the duty of his office.

To further fear him is redundant; to hate him, hysterical. Those more sensible will place responsibility with those who forced the hands of the one-dice-blitz.

With some fortune, they may foster this hatred into purpose, and further rule their own fate by honing their BloodBowl instincts.

-End-

2 hours later...

Daring Biebers vs Dinosaurs Cock

14.jpg

This isn't a fair match. 900 TV inducement. But I just don't see how stabby is gonna pull off a win here.
Lizards are tough as tanks while their skinks move like super bikes.
And THEY'RE STUNTY!
So they ignore tackle zone, blodged up, MA9 with Sidestep.
Totally a fair fight.

15.jpg

First half proceeded as expected, despite getting a perfect defense, stabby's superstar, Ramtut III still gets crowdsurfed.
Yes, ST6 isn't enough to stop a combination of Mighty Blow, Frenzy, Guard, Break Tackle, Stand Firm from multiple lizards.

16.jpg

Needless to say the Dinosaurs simply drove past the hapless necros, and parked a skink-baller right at the end zone as they leisurely bash every single Biebers on the field.

First half ended 1-0 to the Dinosaurs Cock.

bb3.png

Second half, after screaming obscenities and spamming steam chat to no avail by yours truly - stabby experienced yet another dire misfortune.

Two words: Pitch invasion. 2-0

13.jpg

Followed by a Blitz.

12.jpg

Do it now before it's too late.
Kudos to stabby though, he held on and scored one back.
But he lost a Wight in the process. A ghoul was off the pitch with a Fractured Arm.
Just another scrubby day at the Elite Division for Team Canada.
Back into the van you go.

KrHbcC.jpg

The Politically Correct Version of this report can find it below here...written by Dinosaur Cock Coach

The Minizilla's 2 - Daring Believers 1

In a match with a whopping 900 TV difference The Stan Bush fan club took the Flesh Golem star player, a bribe and a couple of kegs of brew to help with the potential blood bath that was about to ensue. The half kicked off with me receiving and proceeding to work the ball carrier into a corner and doing my best to whittle down as many of the Believers as possible in the half. I injured 2 players and KO'd another couple with the Ghoul sitting out the rest of the match after the first turn but the Wight making the regen roll. There was a lot of punching but not much other action in this half and I ran in a turn 8 score.

Second half begins with possibly the worst pitch invasion I have ever seen occur. I lost 1 skink but Stabby loses 9 players with a LOS Flesh Golem and a zombie in the worst position on the pitch and furthest away from the ball possible still standing. Needless to say this leads to a quick second score for me. Then things start to get interesting. I get a blitz from the kick off and position a skink under the ball but fail the catch and with the chef stealing 2 of my re-rolls the dice desert me a little and unlike my last match against Ingmar I fail dodges and hand offs plenty this time around. Stabby recovers the ball and hands off to run up a sideline away from all my skilled Saurus players. I get 1 blitz attempt but roll both down with the blitzer and the carrier both having block I then fail the dodge for the skink to put a diving tackle marker on the werewolf so it's a simple case of blitzing the marker away and running in a reply on turn 13.

The final drive of the match sees me attempt a sideline run that is easily bogged down and though I clear the ball marker I am out of re-rolls and the skink fails the first GFI leaving the ball loose in the end zone. Stabby recovers it and scatter launches it up the field and again I clear the ball get it in a skinks hands and though I make the dodge I try to pass it to a skink who can use the SPP rather than my defensive superstar skink and the handoff predictably fails to end the match 2-1.

Stabby played really well with a large handicap in terms of the lack of block causing 3 turn overs in the first half but except for that pitch invasion screwing him over I would have liked to have seen how this match would have turned out without that bullshit interference since I was again re-roll less quickly in the second half so making all my plays work would have been far from a foregone conclusion and it is unfair that the team with such a large TV disadvantage also suffers such a harsh kick off event but that's blood bowl!

Match is submitted but I did it under day 1 by mistake Iain, if you need me to resubmit it let me know and I will do it correctly.

Hey look! I scored! I'm Improving!! Also, y'all were expecting worse again, especially as this guy beat the other (and higher TV) Necro team 4-1.

Rematch 02 - Knights vs Military Union

Rematch is underway as the Military Union spends their inducement on Wizard and two Bloodweiser Babes to help with KO recoveries.

02.jpg

I look forward to a good game here. Roxor is a good coach, but I know I have the better team.

03.jpg

04.jpg

Let's hope the first two turns are quieter.

05.jpg

As the players line up for the kick off, the sun's glare starts to flood down the pitch.
That's gonna mess up some the passing.
Roxor won the coin toss and chose to receive.
Game on.

06.jpg

Short kick.

07.jpg

08.jpg

Good kick off event for Roxor.

09.jpg

Tells his thrower to get in position...

10.jpg

But messes up the catch for a touchback!
Would've been funny if one of their LOS gets it.
But LundB caught the ball and the ref calls the ball to be given freely.

11.jpg

Ended up handing it over to the catcher.

12.jpg

Major glory opens up with a blocking move on Jaedar - rolling double skulls in the process.

13.jpg

Team reroll spent. Defender downed. No injury.

14.jpg

On the other end, Brother None ate a Mighty Blow and gets stunned.

15.jpg

A minor fortune for the Knights as the Ogre bone-headed, wasting his move!

16.jpg

Here comes the blitz...

17.jpg

Hellraiser is down, but not out.

18.jpg

Turn over as the ball moves to the left flank.

19.jpg

There's no cage... this is an opportunity.

Counter Cage

That's no cage. And we're gonna make one around it.

01.jpg

With the Bone-headed Ogre out of the way, we can punch a path through the Blitzer.
But the blocking first with an ogre is a rather 'beginner' move in most coaches' books.
There are exceptions, and I really think this is one of them.

02.jpg

Especially when the pay-off is huge.
ST6 - 3 Block Dice. Bone Head cleared.

03.jpg

Blitzer down, let's flood.

04.jpg

Initially I thought Whitewolf should blitz the catcher, but the carrier has Sidestep.
It's a neat ability to control where you are pushed. A soft counter against Frenzy.

05.jpg

So I called on Gondolin who has Tackle to get it done.

06.jpg

Bah. I burn a reroll. I'm kinda greedy.

07.jpg

Sigh. The first result is better (Both Down does't trigger sidestep)
Catcher gets pushed.

08.jpg

Live and learn. Decided to end the turn with a non-Block attack... yeah 1 die.

09.jpg

Duly punished. Lund brought himself down as Knights concedes an unnecessary turnover.

Unclean Getaway

Still heavy pressure for Military Union who must now extricate the ball from Knights.

01.jpg

Ogre fixes itself, and Roxor calls for a blitz.

02.jpg

But only gets a push.

03.jpg

Moved up his thrower to assist on blocking Xenomorph.
I never liked risking my ace thrower like this...

04.jpg

But so far I'm really doing a bad job at keeping my important pieces covered.

05.jpg

Uh oh...

06.jpg

Phew. No injury!
Ball is clear, running left-

07.jpg

08.jpg

I think we can still catch him next turn.
But it depends on the outcome of the blocks on the right flank...

09.jpg

Jaedar survived with pushes. Looking good for next turn.

10.jpg

When suddenly... Roxor pulls a lino out of the Ogre for a dodge, burning a rerolll in the process!

11.jpg

He makes it on the second try...

12.jpg

Only to fuck up the go for it.

:troll:Tense match.

A game of catch
Gondolin needs to mark something.

01.jpg

02.jpg

That'll do.
Angelo will try his luck against a ST2 Catcher.

03.jpg

04.jpg

Just a push. But at least the catcher is now within range of the ST6 Ogre....

05.jpg

*Sigh* Never mind. Let's move on.

06.jpg

Get up, Xeno.

07.jpg

We can hit the catcher, but we need to put some pressure - just in case we fail.

08.jpg

Leaving Whitewolf free for blitz duty next turn.
OK, all set. Let's get the ball, Jaedar.

09.jpg

Dodge!

10.jpg

11.jpg

Gotcha.

12.jpg

13.jpg

Stuns him too. Not gonna make a try for the ball yet.
Gonna try my luck again with 1D Block (lol why RK, WHY?)

14.jpg

Well. Both have no block so...

15.jpg

Whoops. Stuns his target but hurt himself in the process.
I'm such a terrible player.

Don't Pass Go
Both coaches starting to open risky plays here as the ball is loose.
Roxor using his ogre as first move. But only rewarded with a push!

01.jpg

Elsewhere, Humppaleka finds the return to the league is as rough as ever.

02.jpg

He faceplants after getting triple teamed.

03.jpg

Still, the ball is safe...

04.jpg

Spoke too soon. That AG4 Thrower just dodged out.

05.jpg

Not going for pick up though - satisfied with marking Jaedar...
Wait, who am I kidding, it's a block assist.

06.jpg

Blitz incoming. Brace for impact.

07.jpg

Suddenly, he stopped as he stepped onto the final tile.
And coughed blood.

08.jpg

:yeah:

09.jpg

Go for it failed as Roxor burns his last reroll!

Nicolas Cage
Humpalekka soldiers on. I'm afraid that's all the duty I can give him for this match.

01.jpg

We now will attempt to clear the ball zone.

02.jpg

Kinda worried about Roxor's well-being, I'm blitzing his AG4 piece.
Was thinking if I should crowd surf, decided to do a normal block instead to let Jaedar move up with the ball.

03.jpg

Thrower is down but unhurt.
Meanwhile I'm still trying to earn 3 measly SPPs for Jasede's boyfriend...

04.jpg

With very little success...

05.jpg

Konoyaro Bakayaro.

06.jpg

Even Gondolin can't land a Defender Stumble with Tackle on!

07.jpg

Finally, @Angelo86 puts an end to that nonsense and brings the catcher down, albeit unhurt.

08.jpg

Well that's enough bullshit for this turn, time for the VIP.

09.jpg

10.jpg

Scoops and move up!

11.jpg

Brother None brings down a blitzer just as the turn clock is over!

12.jpg

Action is heating up!

Swing it or lose it.

Once again, Ogre being the first move! Brother None gets floored but his armor held on!

01.jpg

Fuck where do these assholes come from?

02.jpg

Do we have less people on the pitch?

03.jpg

They're coming from the wals!

04.jpg

I don't think we can score on this turn. That's alright, as long as he doesn't score too.
There's a reason why I don't play catchers when kicking. I don't like ST2 and AV7

05.jpg

We're wide open up front.
Here it comes...

06.jpg

07.jpg

Dodges out with no reroll!

09.jpg

DENIED! JUST A PUSH! Xeno lives!

10.jpg

Turnover as LundB gets smashed, but still able to fly a helicopter and speak mandarin.

Norton Wizard is detecting problems, would you like to fix?
Tempting him...

01.jpg

I just can't see a way to score here. Priority is ball's safety.

02.jpg

03.jpg

Stuns the blitzer!

04.jpg

LundB gets up.
Gonna try to..

05.jpg

Why do I even bother?

06.jpg

Guess this is all you Hump...time to be a hero.

07.jpg

Yeah, why? I dunno.

08.jpg

Got a push. Well, this is Xeno's escape plan anyway...

09.jpg

Gets a solid hit!

10.jpg

Oh shit.

11.jpg

Fuck. Fractured his skull! Apo got called in.

12.jpg

Just a badly hurt! It's ok, he can play on!
Phew. Resume marking duty and turn over.

Serious Stalemate

Roxor wants the ball but can't commit the players.

01.jpg

02.jpg

Once again, Ogre punch. This time eklektyk is stunned.

03.jpg

Angelo can't stay on his feet up the field.

04.jpg

Is passing to Angelo even an option anymore? LundB and Gondolin gets taken down as Jasede's boyfriend dreams of being a woman.

05.jpg

Our numbers dwindle. Turnover.

06.jpg

We must escape.

07.jpg

08.jpg

Takes down thrower on second try. Both teams using high stakes now.

09.jpg

Jaedar beats a hasty retreat.
Crowd groans as Knights head to the wrong direction.

10.jpg

Jasede's boyfriend recovers and repositions himself.

11.jpg

As well as Gondolin.

12.jpg

And Angelo resumes the hard work.

13.jpg

Now it's down to Brother None to bolster the defense... can he make the dodge?

14.jpg

15.jpg

Yes!

16.jpg

Knights playing it safe as turn clock reaches zero.

None Shall find him Wanting
Knights multi-layer defense is proving hard for the Military Union to break.
They're going to try again.

01.jpg

The thundering hooves of the ogre as it approaches Whitewolf...

02.jpg

It stops, gazes at the super star with a glare of death...

03.jpg

It's coming.

04.jpg

Brace yourself!

05.jpg

Huh?

06.jpg

10a.jpg

07.jpg

08.jpg

What. APOTHECARY!

09.jpg

:hmmm:

11.jpg

10.jpg

It was too sudden.
The game is still on.
As my vision changes.
Names now afloat above their heads.
The murderers of our brother.

12.jpg

13.jpg

LundB falls.

14.jpg

Turn over as Military Union tries another dodge.

Countdown to Vengeance
The enemy is relentless.

Whitewolf is KO'ed.

As the clock ticks down to half time, Military Union presses the advantage and takes down as many Knights as possible.

04.jpg

No avenues of escape.

08.jpg

Conflict is constant. Turnover. Gondolin must not lose the ball.

Jaedar will have to make this count.

This is their last chance.

Hah! Just a push!

03.jpg

Fall!

04.jpg

Humppalekka scores an injury! The knight survived the onslaught! It's going to be 0-0 to half time!

05.jpg

But it's not over yet, oh no...my wrath is terrible...

FOR THE FALLEN!

17.jpg

The crowd cheered wildly as the first half ends.
The referee breaks the player scuffles as they return to the sidelines, readying for the next half.
Blood is spilled.
Yet none is the victor..
Not yet, anyway.

Showdown

Here they come again.

01.jpg

The military union is perhaps thinking of equalizing the number with several 2d blocks.

02.jpg

03.jpg

Unfortunately all they got were pushes.

04.jpg

05.jpg

We must press our advantage and induce more blocks.
As the turn is over, the skies turn crimson red.
It's here...

06.jpg

Hah. And yet I live!

07.jpg

08.jpg

Nothing out of that. Let's get this going.

09.jpg

10.jpg

Whitewolf finished a blitz with assist.

11.jpg

12.jpg

Xeno's turn with the ball.

13.jpg

Smooth. I'm not gonna run.

14.jpg

We'll make our stand here. In the center.

15.jpg

They have to come here if they want the ball.

16.jpg

17.jpg

They've lost another.

18.jpg

Press on brothers!

19.jpg

Ogre down, but not out!

20.jpg

Let the center be their graveyard.
