I have no context for this thread but my main question is why doesn't this blog have an archive? I have no idea how to navigate it.

you can get a sorta chronological list of post there: https://lilura1.blogspot.com/search...00-07:00&max-results=50&start=00&by-date=true

And if you change the date after updated-max, you go back to any date you want. For example for posts older than June 2017: lilura1.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2017-06-09T09:18:00-08:00&max-results=50&start=000&by-date=true

But yeah, the current design isn't the most easy to navigate (and none of the previous design were either anyway)

If Lilura is still lurking here, I'd like her to know I'm very happy she has continued her IWD guide. It's a nice read and very useful.

My issue is not with their opinions but with how they come across as an incredible asshole in their writing. It’s like a parody of the grognards on rpgcodex.

Christ, I don't think even the Nazis at the Codex are this grognardy. She comes off as the type of gamer who got angry at Fallout 2 because the menus have slightly more QoL improvements compared to Fallout 1 despite functionally being the same menu.

If only they knew!

Also a Josh Sawyer cameo:

Quite deranged putting IWD1 and 2 ahead of either ToEE or PS:T, much less both of them.

 Roguey

My offer of marriage still stands, I'm willing to toss in penis removal money as dowry, if needed.

Its dowry when the wife family pays the groom family for adopting their girl into their household. Its bridewealth when the groom family pays the wife family for buying their girl.
Very important difference, especially if you want to argue about women's rights in Europe compared to Middle east.

Did you just assume my gender?

Or Lilura's, for that matter?

Also a Josh Sawyer cameo:

That's surprisingly reductive coming from him. She goes into detail about how she's judging games; she doesn't care all that much about Torment's narrative and role-playing and focuses on "How good is the combat?" ToEE may have the better combat system (even that's debatable if one strongly prefers AD&D to 3e, the true grognards), but the Icewind Dales overall have the better combat content.

Codex iwd hipsters on suicide watch.

It's also odd because in Beneath a Starless Sky he said Icewind Dale was his favorite Infinity Engine game (not Torment, which I figure he doesn't really care for because it doesn't have the style of writing he goes for). I imagine he forgot he said that, along with all the other things he's forgotten in his current senility.

I wonder if anyone would care about lilura without asian waifu fantasy attached to it.
Then again, even for Codex the autistic - autoritarian opinions are on another level, but the let's plays shows that it's backed up by a lot of time spent in those games.

I don't think anyone believes that Lilura is female, but it makes good joke fodder, at least.

There are no females on the internet. Whoever you're talking to is male unless they post tits+timestamp.

There certainly are no females on forums like this one, discussing autistic old rpgs in more detail than a university dissertation.
