Played it a fair amount and had good fun. Some people said it was even better in co-op, but I only played singleplayer. It was the warm reception of the first game that got people excited for the sequel. If you're unsure about these games, the first game might be a better choice, considering how cheap you can find it these days. If you enjoy it, you can play the sequel too, and if you don't then you didn't waste that much money on it.
