When I'm sober I will take offense.

Can't hide behind the drunk defense.

Also, sober until proven otherwise.
If I were sober I would actually google it before making myself look like a retard :(

An insider trading charge will never stick if Wilson sold his shares following the public announcement that EA had acquired exclusive rights to publish Star Wars games, which he did.

According to the linked-to document, he filed on the 9th, two days after the public announcement. The stock jump likely occurred Tuesday or Wednesday.
I know that. I was actually insinuating that there some horrible fuck up that will soon come to light (ie someone at EA forgot to cook the books properly) and he's sold the shares before the price has the chance to take a steep dive.

But SimCity already came to light. :troll:

I see what you mean, though. I'd love another EA scandal as much as the next Codexian.

You didn't make yourself look like a retard by posting drunk, your lack of sobriety caused you to reveal the level of your retardation.

I'd make fun of you, but I use the same... *googling word* "technique".

Even if it doesn't mean an upcoming shitstorm, it means that EA's own leadership thinks there is no hope of turning the company around in the near future and that the high point of their stock price will be the fact that an otherwise successful company with nothing but shitty video game tie-ins is associating itself with them.

I hope EA doesn't fuck up too badly. They are the Nazi Germany to Activision's Soviet Russia. Their death will just lead to Kotick consuming them and becoming even more powerful.

You are both retards, whether drunk or sober.

Everybody knows you can get the dictionary extension on your browser and simply hover over a word and get the definition.

Where is David Gaider, Hamburguer Hepler, Stanley Woo, Chris Priestly and Casey Hudson on the list for the firing squad? I'm disappointed that EA is taking that long, normaly they are fast and professional in their execution of developers. Firing Bob the cleaning guy or Mary the secretary isn't going to solve EA problems. They need to start making Bioware heads roll, such relentless incompetence can't continue for so long. At least, with David Gaider and hamburguer Helpler out of picture there won't be Han Solo and Lando secret gay secret romance anymore.

Italy since 1927. When it comes to social welfare, the good old Mussolini was light years ahead. Actually it's not one month per year but 1/13.5 of the annual wage (which is still about one month worth of salary because we get payed 13-14 times a year). Incredible as it sound, many European countries took inspiration from the Italian social welfare reform of 1927 when they decided to reform theirs, because it was the most advanced in the world (and even today many countries are far behind).
Well he was a good leader with wrong(arguably)ideology.People always think he's a total buffoon because of propaganda filled movies but you have to give credit where it's due.

The only real hope for EA in this digital age is to focus on their Origin online selling platforms. Their business model was based on brick and mortar stores, just like the BM of pnp rpg companies. However, with Steam that is going the way of the dodo for vidya gamez. Consoles are adjusting by making online stores of their own accessible via consoles.

EA has Origin, and it needs to make that a viable competitor to steam. And TBH moar competition is always good for the consumer. We cannot afford to let Steam have the monopoly. If Origin becomes a big thing, we could end up with more sales deals and lower prices.

more than propaganda, it's law: it's forbidden by our constitution to say good things about fascism.

EA lays off 900 employees in 'organizational restructuring'

During a conference call discussing its year-end financials yesterday, Electronic Arts revealed that it laid off approximately 900 employees worldwide as part of an "organizational restructuring" initiative.

Emphasizing that its business was in a period of transition due to the coming launch of next-generation consoles, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen announced company-wide plans to "reduce [its] overall headcount by approximately 10 percent," in an attempt to reduce costs. EA employed an estimated 9,000 workers across its studios, according to its last official employee count in March of 2012.

The latest round of layoffs cost EA $16 million in severance payments.

Over the last year, EA announced layoffs in its Los Angeles and Montreal offices, was vague about closures at EA Mobile and shuttered its PopCap Dublin studio. Last month, EA's Origin was restructured, and is now part of the Frank Gibeau-headed EA Labels group.

Electronic Arts has developed a pattern to its layoff practices over the last few years. In May of last year, restructuring-related layoffs cut EA's workforce by an estimated 5 to 10 percent, while around 800 EA employees lost their jobs between 2010 and 2011.
I long for the day when "organizational restructuring" becomes an usual euphemism for fiery crash.

As in "over 400 passengers and crew were killed in organizational restructuring of an airliner following engine failure this morning".

Isn't location a clear enough indication?

I mean, yeah, it could also be interpreted as something from HPL mythos, but it lacks apostrophes.
Seems that even Google maps doesn't understand it, given the results of clicking on it.

It's a comedy reference, but what other language looks like something Lovecraft cooked up, but with all those weird letters and without apostrophes?
