yeah i was gonna say dude you gotta make prodigious use of BAMATU to bump up (down? heh) your AC and against enemies with party-wiping breath attacks you have to use some of these swag spells that some people overlook:

Priest spell level 5:
BADI Death Combat One Monster
Gives a monster a coronary attack, which may or may not cause death (RANDOM BUT WORTH IT)

Priest spell level 6:
MABADI Combat One Monster
[Wizardry 1-4] Causes all but 1 to 8 hit points to be removed from a target (THIS SHIT IS GODLIKE)

Priest spell level 7:
MALIKTO Word of Death Combat All Monsters
[Wizardry 1-4] Causes 12 to 72 hit points of damage to all monsters (PRIEST VERSION OF TILTOWAIT)

Mage spell level 5:
MAKANITO Deadly Air Combat All Monsters
[Wizardry 1-4] Kills any monsters of less than 8th level (WORKS LIKE A CHARM IN MID-GAME)

MAMORLIS Terror Combat All Monsters
[Wizardry 1-4] Causes all monsters to fear the party (SO GOOD)

Mage spell level 6:
LAKANITO Suffocation Combat Monster Group
[Wizardry 1-4] Kills all monsters affected by this spell, but some monsters are immune (THIS IS THE SHIT RIGHT HERE)

MASOPIC Big Glass Combat Party
[Wizardry 1-4] Reduces the armor class of the entire party by 4 (STACKS WITH MAPORFIC AND BAMATU FOR TOTAL OF -10 AC)

ZILWAN Dispel Combat One Monster
[Wizardry 1-4] Will destroy any one undead monster (ONE SHOT THOSE ZOMBIE DRAGONS)

Nice bro I figured a lot of those instant death to monster spells wouldn't work. I will start using those. Fucking Zombie dragons are the most fearsome thing I have faced so far usually full party wipe everytime.

MABADI is really good because even it drains the enemy of most of the HP and the power of breath attacks is derived from the enemy's remaining hit points. Motherfucking Sir-Tech didn't add a spell to protect against breath attacks until Wiz 5 (Cortu/Bacortu)...

I remember using Lakinito and just obliterating Poison Giants, it has something like a 95% success rate.

along with adding links to the romhacking pages for the titles that have 'em I added walkthrough links for the more obscure games like the wizardry empire games and, amazingly enough, i actually found a detailed fan-site for wizardry chronicle and added it. although it's more of a guy basically blogging his way through each floor he does provide snapshots of each floor map along with the stuff you need to do to advance in each floor. i think it might very well be the only wizardry chronicle walkthrough in the entire web.

EDIT: Apparently halfway through the game you have to select between a Good, a Neutral or an Evil path. Cool!

some further details on Wizardry: Chronicle include:

- on level-up your spell-casters can pick and choose which spells they want to learn. I don't know yet whether these choices will turn out to be mutually-exclusive.

- you can meet wandering NPC parties of fellow adventurers with whom you can trade, get information (which is unfortunately in japanese of course), or fight and get their gear (hehe).

- maps are ridiculously big but the first two floors are very intelligently designed with lots of shortcuts. (and lots of hidden doors).

updated OP with:

- developers and publishers of almost all of the games
- walkthroughs and solution guides
- links to translation patches
- languages in which the games are playable

still have a lot more to update and a lot more games to add.

added operation babel: new tokyo legacy and also added to heart 2: dungeon travelers. i also added walkthroughs for almost every single game listed specific to the platform/system of the title entry.

Dorarnae

i can't seem to find any wiki/walkthrough for Wizardry: Asterisk, Wizardry: Wedge Of Life, Ray Gigant, Labyrinth: Cross Blood, or Wizardry XTH 1 and 2. if you happen to have any links handy it'd be awesome !

i still have trouble finding japanese only websites with information on some games. for example the only way i found the wizardry chronicle walkthrough was because i was searching for "wizardry chronicle no-cd" lol
