Very well. No Cloud.

Switching this part of my vote to 1C.

I'm currently interpreting the second option as package votes, but if we are just summing votes for all individual options and taking the highest 2 in the end:
I 13 (13 after flop)
II 18
III 2
IV 2 (1 after flop)
V 11

I honestly thought Loch was good alternative to Cloud. It keeps the thematic connection to rain, without the "fabulous" and Final Fantasy connotations and adds a Scottish flair. I like Puddle and Bucket for the lulz.

FFS, we're "boy" now?

edit: I hope you counted me as a Jack with a conditional on Snake.

RPG Wokedex Strap Yourselves In Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath I helped put crap in Monomyth
E > A
I like Loch, though Jack sounds alright.

I II
Maths and Alchemy both sound useful for our character

A
I prefer this since it would show Father McClellan we're taking the opportunity he's offered us seriously

Very well, locking the winning votes at C, I & II, and A.

Imagine thinking that a socially awkward, reticent child who also stands out in terms of looks (not in a good way) and is an outsider to a place can get away with trying to pull the "I have no name, call me boy" schtick and continue having no name.

Looks like Codex needs a social crutch too to compensate.

You gotta admit that it's in character, tho. +M
Can't wait to hear what nickname the village will give us.

Great, now we're going to get stuck with a name like "shithead" or "caped baldy".

Nice going, guys.

Hah. Well, I wanted a normal name like Jack, but Wrinkly will have to do. We'll grow up to be the village Quasimodo, at least for a while.

Since the option to be a good student won, I'm putting together an extensive lore-dump regarding the "State of the Tower", which will include the commonly taught history of this alternate universe. This will take just a bit of time and I may split it off from the regular update if I need to. You can make requests for setting information and I will see if it is plausible to slot them in.

Just because our charisma blows doesn't mean we have to bow and scrape like him. We're made of sterner stuff than that, so we can at least carry ourselves with self-respect, I'd say.

Awesome.

One thing that I wanted to know, especially since we live in the curiously-named Scotsfield:

The strange vastness of the Tower harbours both wide rolling plains and unexplored forests within it.
...
In the middle of the Atlantic, a gigantic tower stretches to the heavens. Within the Tower are floors as large as countries, self-contained worlds that defy all imagination. When was it built? Was it always there from the start? What lies at the top?

Given that the Tower is neutral territory, and we have these massive, country-sized floors (and God knows how many of them are around), are certain floors considered to be the sovereign territory of the country that they represent? For example, this community is Scotsfield (and, duh, is full of Scots), but is the floor that Scotsfield is contained in, and by extension, Scostfield itself, also part of the United Kingdom?

Also, would I be correct in guessing that the vast majority of the Tower is uncharted? We have a resilient character with survival skills - becoming an explorer seems like a good fit for ol' Wrinkly.

How big is each floor? Have they calculated the distance from wall to wall? Or even x number of days travel from wall to wall?

These mysteries of the Tower have persisted for centuries ever since its discovery, and no real answers have been forthcoming. Scholars puzzled over it, politicians fought over it, and priests worshiped it, all in their own way.

Who discovered this place, and when?
