Yeah, I was told there was supposed to be an email of sorts. Eh, they're probably shit anyway.

Run a test vs. the Sparky test AI. I didn't have much expectations, but it still dissapoints. It only seems to play the monocolored starter decks which doesn't really make for a good sport.
It's decision making is also dubious - at one point he sacrificed a vanilla 2/2 instead of stitcher's supplier for card draw.
If it can play a card, it will do so. If it can attack safely, it wil. Doesn't seem willing to be trading creatures and doesn't appear to "see" deathtouch.
When blocking it will chump to kill creatures, this lead to a scenarios in which it deprived itself of blockers and lost.
Not sure if it can handle combat tricks, one time it had one on hand, it was discarded for Disinformation Campaign instead of something else... not sure what as it didn't play if for the next three turns.

Predictably, it doesn't progress any quests or win counters, but that's fine. It would trivialize 15 wins if it did.
Although it would be nice if it could use a custom deck. An autoplay green stomp or RDW could actually be useful for goldfishing.

God damn it. Did a draft for Allegiance since I figured I may as well to get the single pack for bronze rank since you don't get ANY pack if you don't play it, and I shit myself and went 1-3 despite a decent looking Rakdos deck. Learned some really important lessons like "Turns out you need to enable full control to use bladebrand on daggercaster or Judith", both of which lost me a game each since I figured normally when you've got instants shit goes on the stack and you can react, but nope. On the bright side I did get a few cards I was wanting (Finally got a copy of cry, and another Judith is nice) and I'll just hope that bronze 4-2 pips is enough for the welfare pack at the end of the season. I'd probably play more but I'm still hoarding gold for spark and hoping for the best.

I think that Rakdos is the weakest draft guild in this set.

Was fucking around with my zombies deck earlier and ended up with this crazy board state:

sacrifice gutterbones + reassembling skel every time, force them to sacrifice something, immediately ressumon gutter + reass, open graves and desecrated tomb spawn tokens w/ each sacrifice

Judith may not be the best card in RNA but she's been my personal MVP
She's surprisingly fun. Rakdos in general is more fun than I thought they'd be considering they're pretty aggro. They might not be THE BEST guild/color combo when it comes to being aggro but if you're looking at fun/unfun rather than good/bad they're solid.

Managed to knock out the treasure event 5-1 on my first run since AS IT TURNS OUT being a dirty fucker and playing mono-blue when you essentially always have mana up for counterspells is good. Who'd've thunk?

Codes for freebie moviecards thus far:
STARTERSTYLES (Gets you a MTGA cardback and 5 or so styles)
SUPERSCRY (Gets you 1 copy of pirate-opt and style for pirate-opt)
PARALLAXPOTION (Gets you 1 copy of revitalize and style for revitalize)

I also used mono blue in that treasures event. You can tweak the usual build a bit by adding Skilled Animators and Djinn of the lamp for a bit more muscle, also going down to 18 lands has no downside.
Took me two tries and I am very happy never playing this crap again.

Am I missing something, or apparently there is no way to switch the artsy version off? There should be some kind of toggle in the collection view, but I cannot confirm the change.
The new sleeves are already pissing me off. Looks like baroque cotton candy. Glad they price it like this so maybe every faggot out there won't be using them.
I would seriously consider an option to pay judengeld and never see any of this shit again.

On a related note, I wonder when the first complaints will start that about the holographic card pictures giving folks motion sickness or frying their potato laptops.
If you overload on this shit, the board looks like you're playing drunk which isn't bad.

EDIT: Ok, I think I got this shit.
If you want to turn off the art style, here's what you do: Right click the card in Deck builder view (won't work otherwise), click on the art style toggle above the card, select vanilla version and you can now and press Select to confirm.

The new Arena back looks like crap

The styles would be ok if they removed the swaying. I like the ripple effect on some of the cards (like Mortify), that's pretty cool. Although the swaying kind of makes sense for pirates

I've basically pulled everything for a Gates deck out of boosters and rewards (missing 1 Guild Summit) so I think I will try that this weekend for treasures event

then the plan is to work on 3 color pirates from now until rotation.

Well, I'm not exactly keen about the 100+ planeswanker spam that seems to be coming in the next expansion.

Although I'm actually looking forward to the expansion just to see what the Arena Extended format is going to be like. Will they be going all the way back to Origins? Would be pretty cool.

Style code for deathbloom thallid: FOILFUNGUS

Edit: Oh yeah, they're apparently going to be adding styles as ranked rewards for the next season. Gold rank will get you wizard's lightning, and platinum gets you Vraska's contempt, and diamond and mythic don't get any extra styles. Same packs/gold as before too.
