This engine has one surprising and amazing property: it is 3d with rotable camera, but otherwise it looks like a proper isometric with a static camera.

I've been posting about this for months! It's the perfect package of 3D z-axis gameplay and 2D isometric usability!

I never expected it to be rotable before it moved:) Surreal!

More "switchable" or "flippable", the map can be viewed from four directions. There's no full rotation, which makes sense due to ease of gameplay and camera controls, and if you look at the level design, there's lots of angularity which lends itself well to this sort of setup.

Everything looks great, I look forward to cool KS updates with more info and images :)

One thing I am a bit confused about, in their video they talk about game without KS being a mission focused game or something but with KS money they turn it into full RPG but the features they would add with 40 000 don't seem like what they are talking about. Did they leave out other things they would add with successful KS?

He says it would be a "one shot campaign" without the KS, and the KS base goal lists adding "reactivity" and "NPC schedules". I take that to mean that the KS will add replayability to an otherwise static campaign.

One shot campaign has a certain meaning in PnP, I don't know of any in cRPGs. I can only guess

10,000 reached you bitches

The backer composition is what would worry me so far - only $1,755 have been raised from the base tier, while the vast majority of money has come from physical reward whales. They either need a lot more whales or a major influx of entry tier backers to reach 40k at this speed.

All of Codex is waiting for a fundraiser when they need to get off their backsides and ensure it's funded first.

No point of waiting for a fundraiser , if it takes the same amount of time than the sits review, whalenought studio will die of starvation before. Sits gathered 28k, they ask for 40k this time, hope they gained a bit more fame.

Well they collected more than 25% in less than 24 hours so I would say they did.

What engine are we speaking about here ? It is the same as their other game ?

I'm assuming it's Unity again, yes.

Fuck. Rest in piece, my wallet.

Maybe I'll throw some into the Codex fundraiser if when this gets funded. Love me those Collector's boxes!! And their manual from SitS was really nice so definitely looking forward to this one!!

Pledged $255, hope this gets funded.

I got a Boxed Collector's Edition pledge too before they sold out, so that's almost a third of them going to people here. Anyone else got one?
I'll be passing on having my photo put in though. I don't want to broadcast to everyone what my toys are.
