Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I'm one of the assholes waiting for a Codex Fundraising.
I will pledge though if it doesn't happen until the last 48 hours.
Also the game has amazing stuff inside, I love the idea of the battle system but all these guys that spoke of "charm" of the character models and compared them to WL2... OK.
They are really bad in my opinion, they remind me of Incubation or something. I don't care, but ..."charm"

They do look better than the Wasteland 2 characters.
Not even in the Codex should these stuff be said. Edginess has a limit man.

This is a WL2 DC character model.

Can't be seriously compared with that.

I repeat I don't give a fuck about graphics, but let's be a tad bit serious

Skellington skelly or something. Just google rpgcodex and cloaked doug and it'll still show up. This whole changing your handle thing is getting out of hand.

I had a great joke lined up to use idonthavetimeforthiscrap's name, and then remembered he's now fedorabot or something dumb. Lame.

You're a plebeian with shit tastes for game grafics. Wasteland 2 character models look ripped from some shovelware mobile game.

Actually, the Copper Dreams character models are better. It's about an aesthetic choice, a neo-90s one. Their blockiness is intentional and gives off a specific artistic representation. Nobody has ever said (past the 20th century anyway) that graphics/art needs to be beautiful. Their colors can be touched a little, but I think they'll work on them more. WL2's models are just standard models. *yawn*

Anyway, does anyone know if they have a composer on board? I wrote to them a month ago, maybe slightly more, to compose for them and their next game (for free), but they didn't write me back.

Their composer is listed on the Kickstarter page. He'll get 10k for an hour of music if the first stretch goal is hit, so I'm gussing Whalenought only wants the very best indie musicians available.

Put someone else's in there. Something funny. I'm sure there is plenty of examples in the Pics of codexers thread. Maybe The Brazilian Slaughter or Irenaeus Irenaeus II

Pretty sure those are men though? That would just feel weird. A guy I know less so though, so I'm probably going to get a picture of a certain lunk I know and get his girlfriend to think he's a crossdressing closet nerd. Should be funny. It's not like my real name will be in the credits, so he'll never find out.

10k for an hour of music doesn't sound expensive to me.

That is 10k before KS cut and whatever other expenses.

I couldn't care less if they are like this intentionally or as a result of incompetence or whatever. But they are not "better" in any practical sense. They have no quality that defines them as better unless we talk about personal taste where, obviously, I can really not argue.
Graphics/art doesn't need to be anything but there was a comparison made and someone mentioned charm or something of the sort and I simply don't see any charm in them.
I did indeed see charm in the models of Sits due to the whole art style, these here seem like they came from the age of early 3D.

It's not, but I doubt they want to give that kind of job to somebody who usually works for free.

I got a Boxed Collector's Edition pledge too before they sold out, so that's almost a third of them going to people here.

Having naturally assumed most of you people were jobless losers, I'm genuinely surprised.

Hmm, to me I think it's less charm and more nostalgia to some games that might have similar atmosphere. Again, MGS1 is a great example as the influences can be clearly seen in the trailer (for example, the "!" when the guards see or hear something). I loived MGS1, so to me the aesthetics feel like going back to those times a bit. Ideally, I would love a game that plays and feels like an example of some of the great games of that era. Time will tell.

But are they technically great? Hmm, not really. But neither were SITS, and I loved those. *shrug* I guess it DOES come down to personal taste tbh.

Fuck. Rest in piece, my wallet.

Maybe I'll throw some into the Codex fundraiser if when this gets funded. Love me those Collector's boxes!! And their manual from SitS was really nice so definitely looking forward to this one!!

Pledged $255, hope this gets funded.

I'll be passing on having my photo put in though. I don't want to broadcast to everyone what my toys are.
I got one too so that makes it a whole third.

They should hire Perturbator to create soundtrack for this game or use some of his tracks :bounce:.
2nd track on Lazerhawk's Visitors is the best get-pumped song I've ever heard. It was running through my head while I watched the trailer.

Yeah, it would fit in perfectly for a teaser, although not every track from this whole new-retro-wave-synth genre will be perfect for background music in TB cyberpunk rpg. I feel like some of them have too aggresive vibe.
