Activision owns Arcanum. Any Arcanum done by them would be utter shit.

Obsidian can take Project Eternity's setting a few hundred years into the future and make an Arcanum clone. It already has guns.

Arcanum is what it is, a fun mishmash setting-wise, but I'd honestly prefer steampunk in a 'purer' form, even if we got a reasonable spiritual successor. As in sans magic, fantasy, elves, orcs. Give me something akin to The Difference Engine RPG.

I dislike RTwP as a matter of principle. It is a compromise in RPG gameplay and it should be shunned as any other gateway into the decline should be.
