Looks very cool, I'm glad people are making these games. The graphics look a bit JRPGish and "cute" and less medieval, but maybe that's not a bad thing.

I really liked this game but the random dungeons are just getting tiring quite quickly. I was expecting the relic dungeons to not be random but nope. Gave up after i died 4 floors deep in a relic dungeon and had to start all the way back and do another crappy randomly degenerated 4 floors again.

Lots of comparisons to Ultima, but it feels more like ADOM or one of those Omega/Larn descendants to me. The only similarities I really feel between this and Ultima are the NPC interactions.
That isn't a bad thing! I'm enjoying it a lot.

Non-standard character progression is very much in tune with early Ultimas
Exploring a massive world and learning to know various locations and setting details is much more in tune with Ultima than either ADOM or other roguelikes you mentioned
Large cities with lots of details
Trading, the economy also feels more in line with typical cRPGs than roguelikes
Ship combat
The whole mood of it, the visuals in general evoke early Ultima to a T

also, Omega was likely directly influenced by Ultima, so there's that as well

The person who recommended it to me had nothing but praise for the game, and said that it was made by the co-creator of the original Fable. I know I'm gonna get angry reactions to this, but I wish this game was on mobile.

Thankfully it is not

Full map, I put it in spoilers because discovery is so much part of the enjoyment to get out of the game

It's a shame about the randomization and roguelike nature of this. Could have been an actual good homage to early Ultimas.

And of course Akalabeth. It seemed, when LB had enthusiasm and cared, that each Ultima would try to break a new barrier. Eventually, mistakes happened. I don’t recall if the original UA was made available OFFline (up through say the Far East expansion or wherever they left off). There are times I wouldn’t mind playing one of the big MMOs offline SP because that’s usually how my play ended up online (always playing the wrong games way late when the game is considered dead).

Anyway, I’m just surprised this is free and not isolated on steam.

Ultima 1 had randomized dungeons as well
Yea but the game was based on Ultima 4 not 1. I don't think even many ultima fans have played 1-3.
Oh I have many times on different platforms. A few have eluded me due to emulation issues though. U3 is a favorite.
