The Deadly Alliance/Armaggeddon angles were totally unexpected. The mishmash of fighters at the end was quite a nice feature.

This seemed pretty stupid to me.

The whole final setup feels like the original concept was for a bunch of guest characters to show up. They’ve been going in on this guest characters thing since Mortal Kombat 2011, actually making it a story point feels like what they wanted to do. The coolest version of it would be if Liu Kang and Shang Tsung called a bunch of heroes and villains from other fighting games, and then the giant Mortal Kombat Armageddon finale was all these different characters from different series running around, and you’d get to fight someone like M. Bison or whatever. It feels like the ending should’ve been a huge Ready Player One (a WB movie) revisit of Armageddon. Instead Shang Tsung summons a bunch of fucking stupid Combo Man Amalgam Mortal Kombat characters and you get dumb shit like Ninja Mine and Stung Lao.

The big epic finale of the story mode has you fighting the most lame ass mother fuckers they could’ve come up with. It’s so stupid it feels like plans fell through, because it’s hard to believe those are the characters they wanted for their gigantic epic showdown.

Watching it again, a bunch of the characters have been on MK already...

That one Halloween Fatality cost more than a single character in the DLC Kombat Pack bundle. And it looks like it’s just one single universal Fatality.

Seems like they could make more by selling it for less and getting a larger percent of the user base to buy it.

Oh, wait till Omniman and Tremor drop, and both of them will be OP as fuck.

NRS dropped the ball hard with MK1. They even prolonged season 1 for a few days, because it appears like content for new season is not ready.

Gotta hate this FOMO shit.

NRS games sell 6 gorillion copies but still die in 1 year... MK1 is so bad it died in only 4 months. Still selling like hot cakes tho!

It can’t be “dead” while also still selling. So no, it’s not dead. And sometime next year they’ll probably have some new fighting game out that outsells basically everyone else doing fighting games.
