Is there already some sort of release timeframe for Bannulord? I am really tired of looking up the same vague information after 5 years now.

It's supposed to be in early access end of this year. But with these guys that means end of 2019.

Taleworlds PR guy visited the Mount and Blade general on 4chan and answered some questions. Things that were confirmed: customizable banners, upstab on spears, melee weapon crafting only, borderless window, and the ability to mod in magic systems. CTRL+F !!Lz3q5kDNVx+ if you want to find all his posts here.

Tons of late and still not naval combat in release.
Anyway I am more interested in the permanent death + sons that take place of their fathers mechanic. That wasn't in any mod before, you had permanent death but no way to replace lords with new characters, just promoting already existing character.

It's possible that they actually have to release this before Kingdom Come Deliverance because there is a certain danger that afterwards no one will give a shit. Although I personally think that Kingdom Come will dissappoint and Mountainblade will not. (I played the KcD beta a few days ago and gameplay wise it's just slightly inclined console shit)

Kingdom Come is a completely different game anyway. Even if it might end up having better a melee combat system than Bannerlord, it won't have large scale battles or a dynamic strategic layer. People who like smacking things with swords are going to play and enjoy both games.

It may be a completely different game, but I think the people who buy it will be to a large part looking for the same things.

Also as I wrote, I doubt Kingdom Come will have a significant impact on gaming as you cannot even pick up or manipulate objects, something that other games in the same genre could (Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim), and the sole reason people kept playing them. Kingdom come will be a storyfag game for people with A-levels, but gameplay wise fall short even of Bethesda games.

Banner Lord is indeed different, it has at least a broad foundation of gameplay, not just walking around and triggering events which get old very fast.

The amount of players "giving a shit" is already enough to ensure a financial success. M&B has an army of fans who already know what they want from it, as the series is essentially an improved version of Pirates! Gold, a sandbox game with specific features, multiplayer and huge modding scene. Deliverance has almost nothing of that.

40 GB ? I know that it is a trend to bloat the game size beyond ridiculous but are they including a quality Turkish porn with the download or something?
