Will you have a fancy illustrated world map created, showing the game’s location?

Hey guys,

I promised a "tour" of the character attributes and skills and I'm a bit late (have some health issues, so I apologize).
Let's start with basic character attributes. And then I'll continue with skills in the following days. The text is copy-pasted from the document that will become a manual when the game releases (but it's not a final text yet, of course - it needs to be read and "fixed" by a person that actually speaks English as a primary language :) ).

So, these are the basic character attributes:
===========================

Strength (STR)
Affects any physical manoeuvre of your character. Everything from slashing or thrusting a sword against the enemy, to picking up and removing a large pile of rocks that blocks the party’s progress, requires a certain amount of strength for the action to be successful.
In combat, strength also affects the chance your characters have to penetrate the opponent’s armour and how much damage they will deal if the armour penetration is successful.

Intelligence (INT)
Intelligence reflects a character's ability to learn new things, such as spells, and everything else that requires mental mettle. Additionally, intelligence affects the number of Mana Points characters receive each time they gain a level of experience.

Dexterity (DEX)
Dexterity represents a character's ability to avoid attacks, dodge incoming missiles or arrows, and move their body, hands, and feet quickly and accurately in response to events or situations. For example, dexterity determines the rate of success a character will have when disarming traps, picking locks, and handling similar contraptions, as these tasks require quick, nimble fingers.

Vitality (VIT)
Vitality affects the number of hit points and stamina points a character receives at each level up. It also enhances a character's ability to heal quickly and provides protection against poison, paralysis, insanity, and, in some cases, even death itself.

Accuracy (ACC)
Character’s ability to successfully strike an opponent in combat.
It also determines the hit rate of all arrows and other projectiles the character shoots or hurls at opponents in combat.
Adventurers with high accuracy attribute are able to hit a fly using bow and arrow, while characters with very low accuracy attribute will most likely miss a big fat giant that is standing right in front of them.

Speed (SPD)
Speed determines the order of attack in combat, dictating who strikes first and who strikes last. Characters with high speed values will act before those with lower values. Moreover, characters with exceptionally high speed attributes can attack an opponent multiple times in a single round of combat.

Study Devotion (SDE)
Study Devotion reflects a character's dedication to their field of study. It significantly impacts their ability to develop and improve new skills and to learn new spells. This attribute directly influences the number of new skill and spell points a character receives each time they level up.
Additionally, Study Devotion affects how quickly a character can restore their used mana points, whether in combat, while adventuring, or during rest.

Charisma (CHA)
Characters with high charisma love crowds and attention. They are natural speakers that can charm their way into lower prices in shops (when buying) and higher prices (when selling).
They are also more successful in getting information from an NPC than characters with low Charisma.

Another screen/short ani from the game.

There are "deep waters" (Oceans) in the game and, yes, you cannot just swim there - no matter how high the Swimming skill.
But, there is a solution for that ;)

Hey guys,

As I just posted on Twitter, here's the map drawn by character with just a few points in Mapping skill and another drawn by character that is expert in Mapping.
So you can decide if it's worth it to invest a bit more points into Mapping skill.

Go with Piety instead of Study Devotion plz, it sounds less gay.
Or, you know, Wisdom
Piety or Wisdom doesn't work in this case.

Study Devotion represents the overall character's dedication to the field of study.
It's not just for mages and priests, ... it affects every character and can result in bonus points at level-up to physical, knowledge and/or fighting skills.

In short, SDE represents how much the character is willing to invest into his/her training, no matter the profession of said character.

Hope that makes sense.

Accuracy (ACC)
Character’s ability to successfully strike an opponent in combat.
Does it also affect melee combat, or only ranged ?
It affects both. Melee and ranged.
It represents general character's ability to "hit things".

Of course, the accuracy is not the only thing taken into calculations - you need good ability in wielding the chosen weapon as well ;)

Consider also Focus, Academia, Concentration, Education, Willpower. I agree that Study Devotion clashes too much.

+1 to literally any of these suggestions.

Study Devotion just has a "poorly translated" feel to it.
